Kotra - A Cardassian Board Game by Abayomi Kotra - A Cardassian Board Game by Abayomi

At last, the Kotra rules are finished! These were gleaned from what little information there was in the DS9 episode "Empok Nor", as well as production notes, and the script. The rules are derived from chess and stratego, since the script described the game as being a cross between the two. Other elements, like the use of dice, were gleaned from scenes in the episode. The board design and markings are based on the fabulous concept art by John Eaves, but the rules and gameplay are mine, please do not claim them as your own.

Happy gaming!

Can I please have an example of where to put the pieces to start? (and i know you can place them mostly anywhere but i would like a reference to the limits and what not). And i saw that picture with the pieces. Why are some pieces bigger than the others? I thought the pieces were supposed to be secret.

What do the game pieces look like because I plan to make my own board after I got interested during my watching of DS9.  I want it to be as accurate as I can.

s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/7… That is the best image I could find. If you plan on making more than one I would be more than interested in purchasing one.

thanks.  and your rules (complete with board diagram and such) were a great help in understanding the game.

This is awesome. Have you produced board art so it could be printed out to play?

Thanks! :D I'm working on a large file so the board can be printed out and used for play. Right now, the largest size I have fits nicely on a piece of printer paper. :)

Actually I'm making a Vector Graphic of the board in illustrator, I'm not an artist but I'll try to make it best I can. If you don't know what vector is, it basically means you can resize it without looking pixelated to what ever size you want.

Any progress? I'd be happy just to get the print-and-play board Abayomi made.

Hey, it's been a long time I know but if you're still interested in the board, I can send you the file. I unfortunately don't have the vector graphic anymore as I lost it some time ago, but I do have a JPEG copy of it in a fairly large size (can't remember exact dimensions).

Kotra Board by IMSmine  Actually, here it is. I apologize in advance for the bad colours, I thought it looked good at the time.
