Thanks to the very generous Riftroamer for letting me use his most excellent model to learn UV mapping. I've played around with it before, but this is the first project of any scale I've attempted. Very much a learn as I go sort of thing.

hehe thanks. A different kind of breath to be taken there, but glad you like her. Hmm... I guess I should upload a full pic of her one of these days.

In the meantime, always love seeing a Traveller ship doing what it does best (travelling) :D

Lots of them...Hexagon, PoseRay, UV Mapper, Photoshop. Trying to learn as I went along. In fact, I think I started over three times during the course of the project. Each time I learned a little bit more. Of course, there are still a lot of buttons in all those programs I'm afraid to press...even Photoshop - and we are secretly gay married.

Thanks for sharing your work on her. Now she blossomed and is a beauty :)

The "tiny" resemblance to the classic free trader is because of the fuel scoops I think. Otherwise she's sleeker and 50% larger. And she can stand a nice share of combat.

A resemblence to the MGP variant [link] by Ian Steed [link] is a bit more obvious.

She's a true classic from High Passage No. 3 (1982). And the Star Class sure is my current favorite ship for the upcoming Traveller 5 sessions I plan to host. :)
