Inspiration Station - aartika-fractal-art
Hi everyone Hi!
This is part of the Inspitation Station Journal series retaken from an idea of :iconc-91:  .
Part of the idea is that many deviants highlight with a journal entry another chosen artist at the same time I am a dummy!
Chosen artist is :iconaartika-fractal-art:
aartika-fractal-art :iconaartika-fractal-art:  aka Tina is making fractals since 1999 but joined DA around 10 months.
Her art is now focused mainly in Ultra Fractal as she stated in her profile.
Here is a little showcase from her extensive and awesome gallery. Go and visit it, you wouldn't regret anything :aww:

Inspiration Station - LET'S BRING IT BACK
Hello!
I'll make a personal journal soon but this is not the time.
When I first joined the fractal community in 2012, the resident Community Volunteer was SuicideBySafetyPin.
One of the activities she proposed that I liked the most was the Inspiration Station flash mob: it helped me to discover fractalists from which I could learn and take...inspiration. :D
The first one I made was this:

Almost four years later, the fractal scene has changed and many more artists need to be celebrated. That's why I'd like to bring this flash mob back in the fractal community.
(I asked permission to Light, don't worry :giggle:)
Each week I'll send you a note with the name of the chosen artist and the date the feature is due on.
You can plan your feature and schedule it via or do it at the precise moment, it doesn't really matter.
Main thing is that on the set day, the artist's inbox is flooded with mentions of feature journals.

A selection of works created using Ultra Fractal 3 and 4 during 2005

Perhaps one of the most useful updates to Ultra Fractal in version 4, released in 2005, was the introduction of the "Explore" tool and 'Eyedropper' previews, allowing a dynamic preview when exploring the parameter values, something I now completely take for granted and really wouldn't be without. Before that, more often than not, it was often a question of guess a number!

The other major addition the software was the ability to easily create Animations, although this isn't a feature I have personally used a great deal. A couple of years I did have a go at making a Christmas Card - this fat Robin Red Breast was the result!

Meet the Fractal Community #19Fractal Art Week
Hello and welcome to a new edition of Meet the Fractal Community, a forthnightly series of interviews that highlights a member of our community. The series will go back and focus on fractal artists.
Today, let's have a closer look to aartika-fractal-art.

Hello aartika-fractal-art! How are you today?
I'm well, thank you. :)
Can you introduce yourself to the community?
Hello! :)
I’ve recently returned to DA having abandoned my old account a few years ago through disuse – my previous account was aartika. I’ve been working with fractal software on and off for about fifteen years, almost exclusively with Ultra Fractal (versions 2, 3, 4 and now 5!).
I live in the UK and am a little older than I’d like to be. ;)
How did you discover fractal art?

Edge of Infinity Exhibition - January 2006
Tour : 7th - 20th January 2006
A touring exhibition with educational workshops on board Kent County Council's Arts Bus as part of their "Arts In Motion" project.
17 prints of Tina Oloyede's fractal art were chosen to go on display in this exhibition, which included workshops designed to give visitors an introduction to the concept of fractal art, together with some hands on experience using the software Ultra Fractal .

On Tour with the Magic Bus!
Dominique Jadoul, the Project Manager for Kent County Council's Art Development Unit set up and organised this exciting project
The exhibition and workshops took place in January 2006 on board their Arts In Motion vehicle - a 'state of the art' mobile arts centre, with modulable internal arrangements that includes a gallery space, an IT studio, a library and a

INEFFABLE ACCALMIE NEOLITIQUE by Etienne Saint-Amant EtienneSaintAmant
In September 2006 Simon Trapnell, the director of the Nature in Art Museum at Wallsworth Hall, Twigworth, Gloucestershire contacted Tina Oloyede aartika-fractal-art to discuss a proposal to stage a fractal art exhibition for the spring of 2007. At a meeting a couple of months later, the format and logistics of setting up the exhibition were finalised. Janet Parke infinite-art  was invited to join Tina as a key exhibitor and to begin the selection process for the remaining exhibition pieces. Invitations were sent out to members of the international fractal art community to submit twelve images each to be considered for inclusion.
The response was fantastic - twenty seven artists submitted over two hundred and fifty

Year by Year 2000-2015 - Year 2003
2003 was a busy year in our family life, having lived in Glasgow for five years since the children were babies, we moved to our new home in England, new jobs, new schools, a new life in a small village, very different from the big city life of London and Glasgow we had been used to for so many years!

In what little spare time I had I continued the steep learning curve of fractal art - this is a small collection of fractals from 2003, all created using Ultra Fractal 3.
Looking at some of this work now, I can see that it could be construed as being somewhat rough and ready, with some being rather sickly-sweet; I have to try and resist the temptaion now to go back and rework them. They are what they are - representative of a developing skill using exper

Having settled in to village life in rural Shropshire, 2004 was a year for more experimenting and creating with Ultra Fractal 3, exchanging ideas with fellow artists and beta testing new formulas.
Black Magic won me a small prize in a competition held on Renderosity!

This is a small collection of fractals from 2004, all created using Ultra Fractal 3.

In the Pink
I noticed my profile page was looking a little "PINK" at the moment, a colour I've often tended towards in my work over the years.
So here is a selection of pink fractals, all made with Ultra Fractal, spanning a period of 15 years.
