Elana of Panolia: Chapter 14
Rather than having to worry about any kind of dream that involved the large warrior who was constantly defeating her. Instead it was one that Elana didn’t really understand and seemed to be quite random. However, when she did awake there was something that she didn’t expect.
As she looked over to the other bed, she found it to be empty although it had been slept in. Neither Maple nor Luckfoot were present and she could hear what seemed to be a clapping sound that was coming from outside of the room. In her fatigue, she did get out of the bed and slowly make her way towards where the sound was coming from. Even if she feared what she might see.
It only took a few moments for Elana to reach the common room where there were already people there who were eating and drinking. She thought that it was far too early to be drinking but as she looked further, she saw something that she couldn’t help but be absolutely amazed.
Near one of the tables, there was a man who was playing a

That night Elana once again fell asleep and soon enough found herself in the same arena from her previous dreams. There were still many people there cheering on as if they were watching a gladiator battle that was to the death. In the centre of it, she could see the large man who was covered completely in armour. It gleamed from the sun and made him look as though no force on Earth could harm him.
With caution, Elana did begin to approach him and she could see that although he was holding a sword that looked to be larger than she was. Even with her nervousness she did approach him and she hoped that he wouldn’t strike her down. She had hear rumours that if a person died in their dream then they would die in real life. A theory that she wasn’t willing to put to the test.
“Congratulations,” said the large armoured man. There was a clear chuckle in his voice as he did seem to be impressed. He would have clapped his hands if he hadn’t have been holding his sword at the same time.

Maple did look over at the very large boulder that was in front of her. Luckfoot was standing just beside her and too looked upon it, although to him it was even bigger. Both of them could agree that it was too large and heavy for a single person to be able to move. Making what Elana planned to do almost insane.
The muscular woman stepped towards the boulder and did look at it with some puzzlement. It was clearly larger than herself and she did think that she might struggle with this endeavour. While she had lived with her grandparents, she had lifted many of the farm animals. But none of them would be as difficult as this boulder.
“Are you sure that you want to do this?” asked Maple who still confused by all of this. “Then again, I still can’t believe that we came all the way here just so you can try to move this stone.”
“Well I was told to in a dream,” replied Elana who was a little unsure herself about the entire thing.
“I was told to run around a city while naked in a

Maple’s state hadn’t gone unnoticed by Elana who turned her head towards her and she did seem to be worried for the moment. She did think that her friend might have been afraid of the older man a short distance in front of them. But it seemed to be something else besides that.
It wasn’t too difficult to tell what had actually upset her as she could see her focusing more on the dead deer that was on the ground. Just a few minutes ago, it had been a majestic creature and was living its life. Now it had an arrow in its neck and was no longer in the realm of the living.
“That poor thing,” said Maple as she still seemed to be shocked by what she had seen. “You killed it!”
“Yes, I’m a hunter,” replied the Older Man. “That’s what I do.” To him, he was quite confused about the whole thing. What to him seemed to be just another day in his life but it was more than Maple could take.”
“But why, he never hurt you and yet you killed it in cold blood! How could you do something so

It wasn’t long before the town was shrinking behind the two women as they continued on with their walk. As usual Luckfoot was able to easily keep up with them as they had their supplies and almost had a spring to their step. Their journey was continuing south and it was already approaching noon. The sun was at its highest and the warmest part of the day was occurring.
Unlike the previous day, Maple was protected from the worst of it thanks to her straw hat. Since her head wasn’t directly exposed, to the sun’s rays the chances of her getting heatstroke again had been reduced. Something that she hadn’t really noticed since she was focused on what she was doing.
One thing that the foreign woman was doing was eating a cake that she had bought while she had been in the town. She had offered one to Elana who had turned her down. Only for her to continue eating them, making it clear that although she was a vegetarian, she definitely had a sweet tooth.
“So how much further do we

The trek through the woodlands continued as Elana in particular was being cautious. Maple on the other hand did take in all the sights that was around her. This included the wildlife as she saw various animals that were new to her. Some that were familiar did look slightly different to what she had expected.
Once she did see a deer whose antlers were smaller than those of her homeland. The difference might have only been minor, but she still noticed nonetheless as she continued to survey her surroundings. As usual, Luckfoot stayed close to her but he was quite worried about their journey.
His ears would sometimes prick up when he thought that he heard something that he thought was danger. Only for it to turn out to be something a lot more mundane and hardly worth worrying about. Even so, he preferred to be alert rather than allowing something dangerous to get the jump on them.
“Is there much further that we need to go?” asked Maple. “It’s beginning to get late and even I

For several hundred metres the group continued on with their journey but Maple was struggling more and more with every step. This was something that hadn’t gone unnoticed by Luckfoot who was looking up and seemed to be concerned. Instead of keeping this information to himself he tried to get the message across to Elana.
He attempted this by gently striking the leg of the muscular woman. Rather than trying to harm him, it was instead to try and get her attention. However, it was something that she didn’t exactly notice at first. It was only when it was happening repeatedly that she finally looked down at him.
“What is it?” asked Elana who seemed to be confused and in a minor state of disbelief. Asking a rabbit such a thing and expecting an answer was something that she thought was foolish.
Her answer came when Maple began to collapse right besides her. Thankfully Elana was able to catch her new companion before she could strike the ground. There didn’t seem to be any harm

The next thing that Elana knew, she was no longer in the small and stuffy room that she had found herself sleeping in. No longer was she sleeping alongside the strange foreigner and her even stranger pet rabbit. Although she did question who was the owner and who was the pet in that scenario.
Instead, she found herself in the same arena that she had found herself in during her previous dream. Around her, the roar of the crowd was almost deafening as she could hear them cheering once more. She could also feel the heat of the sun warming her skin and the breeze cool her down ever so slightly.
In Elana’s hands she found herself holding a sword and a shield that didn’t seem to be offer much protection. Instead, she would have chosen to fight with her bare hands thanks to her own great strength. But it still seemed that she couldn’t do such a thing, as she looked just ahead of her.
There she could see the large armoured man that she had seen previously. Also like before, it was

The rabbit just seemed to be running and Elana was beginning to think that it was just travelling in random directions. This was causing her some frustration and she was tempted to turn it into rabbit stew much like the old man had been planning to. But she still wanted to see what the fuss was all about when it came to this unusual rabbit.
Eventually, the rabbit did seem to almost run at a speed that was impossible for it and before long it even arrived at the feet of a woman. She did seem to be quite unusual herself as she was a fairly short and plump woman. Her hair was short and red in colour while her eyes were a stunning blue. The freckles on her face did add to her somewhat unusual look but her outfit didn’t help with this.
It consisted of a long orange coloured top that was almost like a short dress with a belt that was around her waist. Her shoes were flat and brown in colour which did seem to be ideal for walking around. But immediately, she went down to one knee and

Elana knew that it was best for her to allow the group to make the first move. That way she could react to their offence rather than trying to take the lead herself. If she found herself getting too close to them, then she would be overwhelmed and quickly defeated before being able to defend herself.
The first attack came when the leader of the group tried to slash her with their knife. There was no doubt that he was very fast and knew how to use his blade. The sureness of his slash showed her that he had used it many times in situations like this. If it were to strike it would most likely cut directly along her chest in a diagonal slash.
Instead Elana was able to back away slightly and this allowed her to miss the tip of the blade but only by a centimetre at most. By the time that this happened, there was another member of the group who had gotten to the side of her and was preparing to punch her in the side. The position of his punch would wind a person and the strike was
