Lacey + Sastrid Escape Room Size Games Chapter 13

The now very short Lacey continued to look around as she tried to see exactly where she was and what she had to do. From the looks of it, there was nothing around that would allow her to increase her height. The only door that she could see was a double door that was on the far side of the arena.

She was also getting over her lack of stature. She remembered once she did have a photo taken with a man who was vertical challenged. It had made her seem even taller than she actually was. She wasn't sure that she was as short as him but if not, she was very close to being.

"What is going on Sastrid?" asked Lacey as she hoped that the demoness would reply to her and at least give her some direction.

"Oh hey there Lacey," replied the voice of Sastrid. There was still a sense of joy in her tone. As if she was quite giddy over what was taking place. "You look different somehow, did you cut your hair?"

"More like you cut a part of me! I'm a damn dwarf now!"

"Now Lacey, I don't think that term is politically correct." She did giggle for a moment and this only seemed to make Lacey even more annoyed.

"I don't care about political correctness right now! All I want to do is get back to my life and stop this madness!"

"And you, right after you complete this room and claim your prize. Now I know what you're thinking, where is the key so I can get the hell out of this room? The truth is that there isn't a key for this room, but don't worry. There is a way out."

"And what is that exactly?" She crossed her arms and did find it odd since now her arms were significantly shorter than they had been before.

"You simply have to complete a challenge. One that should be easy for you since it's more or less your career. First of all, say hi to your opponent."

Suddenly Lacey turned around and had to crane her head up as she looked up to a woman who was more than a foot taller than her. She had tanned skin, light brown hair and green eyes. Although she was significantly taller than Lacey, she was around average height and had an athletic build. Her hair was tied up into a ponytail and her outfit consisted of a red and black basketball kit. She smiled at the much shorter woman and gave her a wave.

"Hi there," said the Woman. From her tone it seemed as though she was genuinely happy to see her.

"This is Nikki," stated the voice of Sastrid. "Nice girl, tried out for one of those pro teams but didn't quite make the cut unfortunately. You have to defeat her in a one on one game of basketball."

"Hey that isn't fair," replied Lacey as she pointed up at Nikki. At the same time, she was trying to look for where Sastrid's voice was coming from. "She's way taller than me, how am I supposed to beat her."

"Well, it's a game that is leaning in your favour. Our friend Nikki here has to score ten baskets in order to win the game. You only have to score one. To tell you the truth, it makes it seem that it isn't fair for her."

"Somehow I doubt it."

"Whatever you say my little friend, whatever you say. Now begin!" Both women looked on with a small amount of confusion as they didn't know what they were supposed to do. "Oh right, you need a ball to play don't you. Well look up you pair."

Both women did as she was told and saw a regular size basketball floating just above them. It only stayed where it was for a couple of moments before it fell to the ground. Lacey jumped up as high as she could in order to try and grab onto it. However, her short body wasn't up to the task as Nikki did the same and she reached the ball much easier than her opponent. Meaning for the moment, she was in possession of the ball.

Immediately, Nikki began to bounce the ball towards the basket that was in front of her. Lacey wouldn't allow her opponent to simply score without at least trying to stop her. She ran as fast as she could but her shorter legs meant that her speed was far below what she would have liked.

Unfortunately, this only made the distance between the two women increase as Nikki quickly reached the basket. With Lacey being too far away to block her or anything, she had all the time that she needed to throw the ball to the basket. Lacey hoped that the ball would simply bounce off and hopefully give her a chance to score.

This wasn't the case however, as the ball went through the basket without touching the rim. A perfect shot as far as most people would be concerned. Nikki did clench her fist with some pride as a small celebration of her success.

All that Lacey could do was give out a dejected sigh but she knew that she had nine more opportunities to score and win the game. But then there was something that she noticed as she looked over to Nikki. The first thing that she heard was a stretching sound and she at first thought that she was about to change in size.

This wasn't the case as the diminutive Lacey remained at the same size that she was. But the same couldn't be said for Nikki who was beginning to inch up. It was hard to tell at first but it wouldn't take long for both women to fully notice what was taking place. The short woman could only look on with some worry as she could see her opponent continuing to grow taller and taller.

Thankfully, the growth spurt came to an end but by then, Nikki was noticeably taller than she was before. Before, she had been of average height, maybe slightly on the tall side. But it wasn't anything to take particular notice of, but when now that had changed. Lacey's opponent was now slightly above six foot in height and she seemed to be looking at her body as both was processing what they had seen.

"What the hell just happened?" asked Lacey as she spoke quite loudly. "You just grew, what gives?"

"Oh, I forgot to mention something," replied the Sastrid. "Every time that Nikki scores, she grows by around six inches. It's simple really, the more points she accumulates, the taller she becomes."

"Hey that isn't fair!"

"Well, you're the professional basketball player Lacey, you should be able to win this. No problem whatsoever. The good news is that since you lost the last point, you get to start with the ball."

The ball seemed to magically roll towards where Lacey was standing. She instinctively knew that she would have to start from the half-way line and she stepped towards that point of court. She thought that the ball felt quite large in her hands, at least more than she was expecting.

Nikki stood some distance away as even she knew the rules that they would have to follow. Her own confidence had increased along with her height as she saw Lacey beginning to bounce the ball. For the shorter one, it still felt weird about how quickly the ball was coming back up after she had bounced it.

This was simply due to the fact that it had less distance for it to travel from down to the ground and all the way back up again. Despite this, Lacey did her best to try and dribble the ball closer to the basket. It was the only way that she thought that she was going to be able to score in order to win the game.

Unfortunately for her, her awkwardness over her now lack of height came back to bite her as she bounced the ball incorrectly and it went rolling away from her. Immediately, she ran to try and retrieve it.

This was exactly what Nikki did at the same time and her height gave her an advantage as she could move faster and she reached down to try and grab the ball. Unlike her opponent, she was successful and did retrieve it before she began to dribble towards the basket. Much like Lacey had been trying to do just a few moments before.

Just like what had happened last time, Nikki was able to reach the basket and she flawlessly scored once more. Also like the previous time, mere seconds after scoring. The tall girl began to grow even taller. Lacey was powerless but to watch as her opponent sprouted another half a foot in height.

The stretching sound that could be heard throughout the court. In a way, it was as if it were mocking Lacey, basically telling her that her height was being dwarfed slowly but surely. All of this was still the fault of Sastrid as far as she was concerned and she just wanted to be able to return to her life.

By the time that Nikki was done growing, she was slightly above six and a half feet in height. A decent height for any centre in a women's basketball team. In a way, she thought that now she could join any professional team that she wanted. Although she might not have been entirely sportsmanlike but she still appreciated it.

Lacey was still in dumbfounded silence as she looked up at her much taller opponent. There were still plenty of baskets that Nikki would have to score before she won the game. With her increasing height, it seemed that such a feat would be very simple for her and this begged the question.

Just how tall would Nikki become by the end of this little challenge?
