By that night, the headlines of the news were all about the people who had been healed at the hospital. There were numerous interviews with the people who had been present and they were all completely amazed by what had happened. Many of them considered it to be some kind of miracle.
During this time, the three Guardians continued to remain within the home of Louise and were somewhat closely monitoring what was happening. Louise continued to feel a little guilty over what had happened, even though what she had done was actually was anything but bad.
Elizabeth found herself sitting on the shoulder of her apprentice as she continued to watch the TV. She too was quite worried about all of this and was trying to think about what she should do. There was the orders that she had been given by her superior and how she hadn't broken the news to either fellow Guardian yet. It was something that was toiling inside of her mind as she continued to try and think of a way for all of this to be better. Even if some already believed it was the best thing that could have happened.
"They're all so happy," said Serena as she too watched the news segments. "You really helped a lot of people Louise."
"Oui," replied Louise although she still couldn't help but feel a little unsure about herself. "I just wish that I had more control over my powers. Then I could actually feel really happy about this."
"Well, it won't hopefully take you too long." She looked up at the gigantic woman and gave her a smile as she wanted to do everything that she could to try and cheer her up. She did feel her hand come down and gently grab onto her.
Although she didn't say it out loud, she did enjoy being in Louise's hand. The softness of her palm was something that she thoroughly enjoyable. If it was up to her, she would simply remain in the hand and just lie there, while rubbing her face against the skin. But her own self-control prevented her from doing this and she kept her composure.
With some care, Louise did lift up Serena and placed her on her other shoulder. Meaning that both Guardians had their own shoulder to sit on. It was quite comfortable for them and neither of them had entirely noticed the faint glow that was radiating from her body. It did give them a sense of warmth and safety though which was difficult to replicate in any other way.
"So, what are we going to do all about this?" asked Serena as she was able to glance towards where her former mentor was sitting. Even though there was a gigantic neck that was between them.
"For now, it's still best for our French friend here to remain here," replied Elizabeth and she saw her apprentice glance down towards her. At least then nothing else can happen until she controls her powers."
The giantess did nod at this as she too thought that it had been for the best. She was distracted for a moment as she heard a notification on her gigantic phone. However, using it was something that she too found to be quite difficult. The simple fact that since her previous growth spurt, it was now quite small in her hand.
When she unlocked the phone, there was a message that was present but it was written in French. This meant that most likely, it had come from someone from her family. Since it wasn't written in English, the two Guardians didn't understand what it said. But Louise was clearly reading it. That was after she had been able to unlock the phone using her fingers which were simply too large for the device.
Her glowing eyes was moving as she was still reading the message and there was another tear or two that dropped from her eyes and fell onto her breast. The pair were still larger than they had been before and it was something that she didn't appreciate either. Especially since her size had begun to put a strain on her back.
"What was that about?" asked Elizabeth who could still not read French text besides the extremely basic.
"I-It's nothing really," replied Louise who still tried to smile despite the sorrow that she was experiencing. "Thomas was just saying goodnight to me. Although I think he should have gone to bed before now."
"Well, sometimes with children, they don't do what you want to do. Believe me, I know what that's like."
"Oui, but Thomas is a very bon garçon." She nodded her head as she said this as she wanted to get the point across. Although Elizabeth didn't exactly know what she was actually talking about. There was a loud yawn from her as well as it was clear that the events that had taken place that day had taken a lot out of her. "If it's alright for the both of you, I'm feeling very tired now. Do you mind if I go to bed."
"Of course, it's best for you to rest." She didn't intend to rhyme but it seemed as though that had just happened.
Within a few minutes, Louise did find herself sleeping in a bed that was clearly too small for her now. Even as she lay down on it, her body was too long for the mattress. Her feet were planted on the ground after going over the edge of the bed.
Her fatigue even caught her by surprise as almost at the moment that her head touched the pillow, she was asleep. Even with her eyes closed, some of the red glow could be seen through her eyelids. But she still just snored away quite peacefully as he gigantic body clearly needed rest.
Elizabeth and Serena still found themselves on the oversized sofa that Louise had been using. The Englishwoman knew that she wouldn't be going home that night and would have to do something to get herself comfortable. Her mind was still troubled about the orders that she had been given and how she couldn't put them off forever.
The fact that she hadn't told Serena either didn't make things seem any better. But telling her was going to be equally as difficult. Especially since it meant that Louise would most likely be taken away and not seen again for a good long while.
It definitely wasn't easy for Elizabeth, but she had taken the time to tell Serena about what she had been told do from their superiors. The former apprentice couldn't help but be shocked by what she was hearing. There was some annoyance as well, even if she couldn't help but feel that this wasn't surprising.
"What do you mean about all of this?" asked Serena with a somewhat angered about what had happened.
"The higher-ups want us to obtain Louise and send her back to HQ," replied Elizabeth as she was annoyed by all of this as well.
"How can they do this. Louise isn't any danger, she helped a lot of people. She's always helping people!"
"I know, I know. But her powers are evolving too quickly. You've seen it first hand yourself and now her organs have rearranged themselves. As much as we don't want to think about it, she needs to be somewhere where she can be monitored. Her changes are becoming more extreme. What happens if the next change causes her to be a genuine risk to everyone. Even if she would never intend to do such a thing."
What both women couldn't see at that moment in time was the sleeping giantess who was a short distance away from them. Since they were still on the sofa and where they were, they couldn't see Louise in bed. She was still sleeping soundly and was simply enjoying being able to sleep.
But the red glow that had been around her body was beginning to glow even brighter. She of course was none-the-wiser as she just continued to sleep. The aura from her body was growing stronger and brighter with every passing moment. It was as if her body was on the verge of changing once again. In what way, no one could possibly predict at this moment in time.
All that was known was that Louise in her present state wasn't going to exist for much longer and that by the time she woke up. She was going to be different in some way. Either it was a change so small that no one would notice, to one that was so large that it truly defied comprehension.
Render by Crazy Red Hair
I was wondering if we would catch a size update before the hundredth chapter, looks like the estimate was correct.
