Elizabeth was doing everything that she could in order to stop herself from running into anything while she sped forward. Her speed might not have been as fast as a car but it was still something that most people would envy. Her strength and durability meant that if she ran into anything, it would likely be destroyed on impact.

This meant that she had to prevent herself from running into things such as cars, people and buildings. Thankfully, her reflexes were still quite keen which made it easy for her to be able to dodge the obstacles. Although at one point, she did almost topple over as she almost lost her balance. A fall wouldn't hurt her, but anything that had gotten in the way would be damaged or worse.

Thankfully, fatigue was something that she didn't feel as she made her way to the outskirts of New Cardiff. The entire time, she had been running in one direction, the one that had been pointed out by Serena. Since she was closer to Louise, she thought that she would have been able to see her by now, given how large she was. Unfortunately, the tall buildings and eventually the trees prevented her from seeing the French Giantess. Even though her apprentice was taller than these towering figures.

Dodging the trees that were in front of her was something that Elizabeth did find a little more difficult than she had anticipated. This was because that unlike people and vehicles, they didn't move and were completely rooted to the ground. They were also tightly packed together making it that even when she dodged one, there would be another right in front of her.

This made her task that much more difficult but as she did everything that she could. That was until a tree root that had escaped her notice caused her to lose her balance completely. This caused her to fall over and right into a tree that was directly in front of her. There was nothing that she could do to stop herself from slamming into it. A great oak tree that had been standing there for many years, even before Europeans had made their way to this part of the country.

For the briefest of moments, Elizabeth was dazed and she considered just continuing to run towards where she thought that Louise would be. But there was a creaking noise that immediately grabbed her attention. This caused her to look at the tree that she had just knocked herself into and she could see it beginning to lean. Worse still the lean was getting worse with every moment.

Thinking quickly, the towering Englishwoman grabbed onto the tree and used her strength to try and bring it back upright. Thankfully, given her strength this was something that was quite easy for her. That was until she let go of it when she had gotten it completely upright. It only lasted a few moments before it again began to lean in an unnatural and problematic way. As if it was about to fall again.

Elizabeth once again grabbed onto the tree and did what she could in order to keep it standing upright. It was only then when she noticed what was causing the tree to lean. She could see that the trunk had been cut completely, separating the trunk of the tree from the roots that kept it directly in the ground.

This meant that no matter what she did, the tree was doomed to fall and because of this she knew that she was fighting a losing battle. But simply for the safety of any creature that could be present.

Instead she gently made sure that the tree was placed the tree on the ground and then continued on with her run. This time she was much more careful as she seemed to dodge from one side to the other. While still running in the same direction where she thought that Louise would be.

There was something that she too began to feel as well, something that was a little odd. There was soothing sensation within her. It made to her was a serious situation that bit more relaxing for her. She felt as if everything was going to be alright, almost like there was a warm presence around her that made her feel at ease.

This did lead her to eventually arrive at the place where Louise was sitting down and relaxing a little. The French giantess had a slight smile on her face and even seemed as though she was focusing on two trees in particular that were just in front of her feet. It was only then that Elizabeth stopped running and came to a stop.

"Lizzie, qu'est-ce que tu fais ici?" asked Louise as she was taken by surprise with the arrival of her mentor.

"Y-You're alright," replied Elizabeth as she was confused with what she was seeing but could still feel the same warm sensation that she had been feeling.

"Oui, why wouldn't I be?" Her confusion was still evident and she was truly curious to hear from her mentor.

"Serena said that she sensed a spike in your energy. We were worried that something else was happening to you."

"Oh you mean when I did this." With that Louise stood back up to her full height and concentrated for a few moments until a fiery red aura appeared around her. Much like it had last time and was more than impressive for her to see. It wasn't the first time that she had seen this when she had noticed it during the events that took place on Canada Day. This time however, rather than looking as though she was exploding in anger. She was instead pleasantly smiling as if nothing was amiss.

Elizabeth couldn't help but take a step back for a moment as she watched what was happening to her apprentice. She felt fear for the first several moments but that was starting to feel much calmer. The same feeling that she had, had only grown even stronger and it was clear to her that it was from Louise that she felt like this. The aura did seem to be a little violent and yet it was incredibly soothing.

"See what do you think of this?" asked Louise as she continued to seem both very confident and also friendly at the same time.

"It's amazing," replied Elizabeth. This time she began to step forward and even reached out her hand. "Can I touch it?"

"Go ahead."

With some caution Elizabeth did approach her enormous apprentice and reached out her hand towards the aura that surrounded her. There was a moment where she thought something painful might take place, even though Louise was perfectly fine with it being around her. This wasn't anything unusual though as she had seen Guardians who had the power to generate such things as fire. When their fire was around them, they didn't suffer any injuries from it. But for a regular person, it would have immediately burned them severely. This was why she continued to proceed with caution.

But after a couple of moments, Elizabeth's hand did gently touch the aura and she felt it begin to surround her immediately. This caused her to step back and she was very worried with what was happening as well as Louise. The French Giantess watched on as she thought that there might be something amiss.

Something that couldn't be seen by the two women was that the Elizabeth's liver was disintegrating much like Louise's finger had done during her demonstration. This would normally be seen as something that would be very bad as the human body simply couldn't survive without its liver.

But she could feel what was happening and it felt strangely painless. But what happened afterwards was somewhat expected thanks to the Louise's demonstration. The liver was beginning to grow back. It was slow at first but it was continuing at a fairly steady pace until it had completely regrown.

It even became fully functional, replacing the liver that had been damaged by years of alcohol abuse and only then did the glow disappear around Elizabeth. She quickly placed her hand down where she had felt the strange activity take place. There was something think was alright, even though she began to cough up a few shards of her still disintegrating original liver.

"Lizzie, are you alright?" asked Louise who couldn't help but be worried as she had been able to tell that there was some discomfort in her mentor. Even if she didn't fully understand what was happening.

"Yeah, I think so," replied Elizabeth as she was still placing her hand onto the place where her liver had been replaced. "I think something happened in my body. I don't know what, but I can't help but feel a little better."

"I hope so." She began to smile as she allowed the aura around her to subside and she looked like her usual self. Although the glow of her red eyes made it clear that the energy was still within her. She then placed her hand down in front of her mentor with her palm facing up. "Need a lift?"

"I suppose so." She carefully took a step onto the hand of her oversized apprentice. She allowed herself to be lifted up as Louise also stood back up to her full height. The view from being so high up was still a sight that she couldn't help but appreciate as she could see what her apprentice could see.

With that the pair began to make their way back to New Cardiff. There were still plenty of things that they felt were mysterious but it did at least seem like things were getting a little better for them.

I truly not sure where this story is heading. Which is exciting. Louise powers keep evolving which is both amazing and scary.

2 - I can't help but wonder if that mysterious organization that the doctor was apart of, knows more about Lousie's powers. The doctor seemed to be clueless but maybe the True Mastermind knows Louise's potential and that is why she must destroyed.  Or maybe the organization is somehow connected or behind Lousie's powers? Or they wish to reclaim/harness her power?

3 - Elizabeth's liver is healed. So I assume that removed her acholic addiction? I wonder if that means her alcohol tolerance has been reset. Oh no, will that mean she can easily get drunk! Or vice versa, her liver works so efficiently now, that she can't get drunk!

4 - Rethinking, Elizabeth sure got lucky. I thought she would struggle to fight her acholic addiction and eventually grow as a person to defeat it. However, but she just got it conveniently removed without really trying. I am happy for her, but if feels somewhat unearned.

5 - Still surprised but the lax security monitoring Elizabeth. The facility didn't want her leave until Selena volunteered to watch over her. With Louise size doubling and now having these healing abilities. I wouldn't be surprised if the facility changed their minds.

"I'm saying that whatever energy is within her, it's very potent and I believe that it is what's caused Louise to become so big. When I first saw her, I thought that her ability was to simply be big. But I don't think it is now, I think that her size is just a by-product of the energy is generating. Although it seems to be potent, I don't think it's harmful at all. In fact, it feels quite the opposite. While it was within me, I felt energised, I felt healthy, and I felt good. Not good as in when you when you take a drug or scratch a bothersome itch. More like good as in feeling good about the world and everything within it. Just a feeling of completion."

Part 38

6 - Elizabeth touching her is very concerning. Especially as she is assumingly staying in contact her until they arrive at the hospital. Lousie will likely heal Selena but who knows what effects it would have on Elizabeth! From growth to actually getting younger!
