Elizabeth continued to hold the villainess where she was and had no chance of breaking out of her grip. She even attempted to kick at Elizabeth but the towering Englishwoman didn't even flinch. Her body felt as though it was made out of titanium with the villainess more likely to break her foot than to actually harm her foe.
Slowly but surely, Serena got up to her feet although she was in great pain from the injury that she had sustained. Her knee was shattered and would likely take several months to heal properly. Even with everything that had happened, she still wanted to confront the villainess and bring her to justice. Although it was more likely that she would need to go to hospital before long.
"You better tell me everything," said Elizabeth as she continued to hold the villainess in place. "You're only making things worse for yourself."
"Making worse for myself?" replied the Villainess. There was genuine rage that was building up within her. "How can I make it worse for myself?"
"You can leave here without any broken bones." There was an expression on the face of the strongwoman that more than demonstrated that this wasn't an idle threat. She might not kill an unarmed opponent and under normal circumstances, she wouldn't harm them either. But this was an exceptional circumstance. "I know that you're working for someone else. Tell me who they are."
The Villainess at first stayed quiet and was weighing her options. She felt Elizabeth's grip begin to increase slightly. This caused her a great amount of discomfort and she thought that it might be best to talk. Although she was afraid of what would happen if she gave up her employer, the towering Englishwoman was an immediate threat who could more than back up her words.
However, there was something else that she could feel in the pit of her stomach. It was like a gnawing pain at first but it became more and more intense with every passing moment. This didn't seem to be anything that Elizabeth was doing but she feared what was going to happen to her.
"Oh no," said the Villainess just before she suddenly coughed up blood. This immediately caused Elizabeth to let go of her and she dropped to the ground. Her body began to move uncontrollably as if it was suffering from a spasm of some kind.
"Huh, what's going on?" asked Elizabeth in confusion. Over her time as a Guardian, she had never seen anything like this take place before and her mind was instantly racing to find some kind of answer.
"What did you do to her?" replied Serena who became worried and looked at the woman who had caused them so much trouble.
"I did nothing."
The Villainess continued to shake violently and she coughed up even more blood which was unsettling. Her sudden shuddering then became deadly still as her life ebbed away. There was nothing that could be done to save her as her death warrant had been signed the moment that she had felt the sensation in her stomach.
Almost immediately Elizabeth went down to one knee and placed her index and middle finger onto the neck of the Villainess. She was attempting to feel a pulse of some kind, but there was nothing that she could feel. Any chance that she there was of saving her was completely gone.
Rather than saying a word, the towering Englishwoman simply turned to look at her former apprentice and shook her head. A clear indication over what had happened and she could only sigh. There was a part of her that feared that she had been the one who had killed the villainess. But she knew full well that she hadn't used enough force to cause her death. It was true that her grip had caused some discomfort for the woman but hadn't been enough to properly harm her.
"Oh no, so what are we going to do now?" asked Serena who was both worried and saddened by what had happened.
"I'm not sure, unfortunately we've reached a dead end," replied Elizabeth who hadn't intended the pun in her statement. This did make her stand up to her full height and look down at the villainess. "We better contact the mayor and tell her what has happened. She isn't going to be happy, that's for sure."
Both Guardians continued to look down at the deceased body of the Villainess and they were worried about what they were going to do from now. Their answers had died with the villainess and they would have to start searching from scratch to find the person who had hired her and the true mastermind before everything.
Elsewhere, Erica was enjoying the view that she had. Now she was sitting on the shoulder of Louise and was seeing the world around her from a different perspective. It wasn't the first time that she had been carried by the French Giantess but was the first since her recent growth spurt.
She kept a hand on the strands of red hair that wrapped around her. This made sure that she wouldn't fall off but she still didn't feel any danger in the presence of Louise. Her gentleness and pleasant nature just made her feel more relaxed and she even leaned on the giantess's neck.
Since it had gotten a little late, Louise was giving Erica a lift home that would save her on a taxi fare. Also, Erica had to admit that travelling by giant was unlike any other mode of transport in the world. It was just a shame as far as she was concerned that she wished that she could travel like this more often.
"This is amazing," said Erica as she continued to look on at the world around them. "You see the world like this all the time?"
"Oui," replied Louise who continued to walk with some care. Like usual, she was being very careful with where she was placing her feet. One moment where she lacked attention could spell trouble. "It is quite something isn't it?"
"Yeah, it's simply wonderful. I think I can see my house from up here." She was looking over to her right and pointed towards a building which was amongst many, many others. Making it impossible to see which one it was exactly.
"Oh, I can see my maison from here as well." She pointed towards the gigantic warehouse like structure that was quite obvious to see. There was clear joy on her face as she pointed towards it.
"I guess that it is hard to miss your house. It is the biggest house in the city."
"And yet now it is too petite." She gave a small sigh as she remembered her head slamming against the ceiling when she stood up. There was still a sore spot on her head from the impact and she thought that a lump was beginning to grow there.
Erica realised that she had accidentally upset Louise a little and was trying to think about what she could say to cheer her back up. But she looked over to her friend and smiled at her with her eyes closed. This was something that Erica did notice that was a little odd to say the least.
Even with her eyes closed, the glow of Louise's eyes could still be seen. It was very strange as it almost looked as though there were two circular faintly glowing spheres painted on her eyeline. It also looked quite comical in a manner of speaking and was something else that made her stand out.
"It's alright," said Louise as she tried to stay positive. Even if such a thing was becoming more and more difficult every day. "At least I didn't burst out of this maison like I did once before."
"You did, what happened? Is that when you became big for the very first time?" She knew that technically speaking that Louise had never been normal size again after she grew. But it was the only way that she could have said all of this.
"Oui, it seems so long ago and yet it was only around an année ago."
Louise's mind began to think back to that moment when she had first grown in size. Back then, her life had been much simpler, she was a young mother with her son Thomas and was looking forward to what the future befell her.
In her youth, she had wanted to be a beautician but things hadn't exactly played out in the way that she had expected. Her pregnancy at a young age didn't help matters but she still wanted to try and do the best in her life. Having Thomas around might have been a hindrance in some areas, but she would never think of a life without him. He was simply too precious to her to even consider something like that.
However, there was one dark cloud that was hanging over Louise during those days. This was the fact that the father of Thomas, her one time boyfriend refused to acknowledge him as his son. Even when it was proven without a shadow of a doubt that he was indeed Thomas's father. He still refused to have anything to do with him.
This was one of the few things in Louise's life that actually made her extremely angry. The boy that she was helping to raise was the light of her life and the thought of his father rejecting him was too much for her to think about. It was on that final night when they saw each other that her life changed immediately.
