Serena was doing what she could to try and prolong things as much as she could. She was still in pain thanks to her shattered knee and she could see the woman who had caused so much trouble. It was clear that she was a genius but her exact plan and why she had attacked Louise on Canada Day. If she knew why it happened, she might be able to stop anything worse from taking place.
Already she had asked the villainess why she was doing all of this. She hoped that by stroking her ego that she would gain more information. For the time being, if she was here and engaging her. There was a good chance that she couldn't hurt anyone else or even continue with her immediate plans.
"You really think that I'd stand here and tell you every detail about why I'm doing this?" asked the Villainess. She was tempted to walk forward and place her foot on Serena's knee cap. But prevented herself from doing so. She didn't know what would happen if she had gotten too close.
"Maybe if I knew why you are doing all of this, then maybe I could understand you," replied Serena. Still she was trying to prolong things as much as she could. There was an inkling of idea that she did begin to plan, but the entire thing hinged on luck rather than any kind of true strategy.
"You really want to know. Well, I could tell you every little thing and maybe even you could agree and then work alongside me. But of course, I wouldn't do a stupid thing like that, not after all. I have no reason to tell you and if I did, it would likely just end poorly for me, so because of that I think I'll keep my mouth shut."
"Are you sure?" At this point in time, she was basically grasping at straws as she did everything that she could to try and come up with a more concrete plan. Although she wasn't sure exactly what besides her shot in the dark.
"What do you think I am? Some kind of Saturday Morning Cartoon villain?"
"Well you did create a giant robot and sent it into city in order to fight a giant woman. Kind of sounds like something a Saturday morning cartoon villain would do if you ask me." If anyone else had been there, it was likely that there would have been a chuckle.
Instead, it only made the villainess annoyed as her point had been made mute but it still didn't make the situation any better. Instead, she simply wanted to put an end to Serena and get things done with. She could have shot her again with her now loaded gun but there was a temptation for something more dynamic.
Serena did move around a little as she made it seem as though she was trying to get up. Such a thing would be extremely difficult for her as the Villainess almost seemed to find watching her struggling funny. It was continuing to distract her and it was exactly what she wanted. Especially after she had felt something that sounded like a series of thuds. They weren't something that had been picked up by the villainess. Instead, she just seemed to enjoy watching Serena struggle.
To her, it was like she was watching a comedy and knowing that she was the cause of it was just made it even funnier for her. She was still being distracted and then there were a few words that Serena could hear. They were relatively quiet and sounded as though they had come from just behind her.
"Get down," said the voice that Serena immediately recognised.
Although it caused some pain, she did as she was told as a small piece of debris was thrown directly at the villainess. It travelled faster than the eye could properly register and it struck her square in the chest. Almost immediately she came went down and was gasping for air as it likely they had broken one of their ribs.
Just then, both women saw a towering figure entering the room. A smile appeared on Serena's face as she could see that it was her former mentor. She was a little wobbly on her legs after she had been electrocuted in the manner that she had. But Elizabeth still stood strong despite this.
However, there was something that Serena did notice which make feel a little embarrassed. This was because the hairs on Elizabeth's head were standing on end which did look to be very comical. Either the towering woman hadn't noticed this or didn't care. Most likely it was the former.
"What?" asked Elizabeth as she looked at her apprentice. A very bizarre moment in a serious situation.
Elsewhere, Louise was still sitting next to Erica and was beginning to questioning whether God was punishing her for something. There was even a thought that he was angry about having a child out of wedlock. This was something that she wouldn't change though as she loved having her son. Even if some may look down upon her over the circumstances of his birth.
Erica was trying to think about the best thing she could say to her gigantic friend. The thought of abandoning her didn't cross her mind at all. Louise had been there for her when she had needed her. She was going to do the same for her gigantic friend, even if the odds seemed to be against her.
"God wouldn't be punishing you Louise," said Erica as she was doing the best that she could given the situation. Her own religious beliefs weren't all that strong but she thought that she needed to help her friend in whatever way she could. "You've helped and saved many people. I don't think I've ever met anyone as selfless as you. God is proud of everything that you've done."
"Don't feel it," replied Louise as she lifted her hand and looked at it. Just around it, she could see a very faint red glow which was almost impossible to see. It seemed as though it was around her entire body. Just another sign of the energy that her body was producing at that moment in time.
"Everything is confusing right now, I get it. Believe me, before I met you, I was in the same position as you." There were a few moments of silence as she realised what she had just said. "Well, not exactly like you of course, but the feeling that everything is going wrong for you. But I promise you, everything will be alright."
"Are you sure?" There was still some doubt in the voice of the giantess. "First I become huge, then my eyes begin to glow rouge and now this has happened to me. It's just so overwhelming."
"Yeah, that is understandable. But if anyone can get through it. I know that it's you. Right now, the only thing that is bigger than your shoe size is your heart. You've done so much for everyone that God would make sure that everything worked out for you. He gave you these fantastic abilities to benefit mankind, not to punish you. Besides, who was it that defeated a giant robot just so the could protect the city."
"T-That was moi. Of course, there was Lizzie and Serena." Erica didn't know exactly who these women were but simply assumed that they were Louise's fellow Guardians. "But still, that entire thing is something that I'm not fond of remembering. I accessed a power that even scared myself. It was one of the few times when I actually felt true anger flow within me and it scared me. If I were normal size, it would have been no big deal, but at my size I can't allow myself to lose my temper. It's like I'm constantly walking in a China Shop, one wrong move and I smash something valuable. But rather than just being plates, it is human lives. Even animal lives mean a lot to me, that is why I chose to spare Henri rather than harming him like I was told to. We and everything in the world are God's creations, so it does make me ask what he intends with me."
"He intends for you to be a bright spot in humanity. During my life, I've only met a very few truly good people. But you are one of them, no doubt about that. All I can say for you to do is to believe that there is a purpose for everything that has happened to you. That it is all leading to something that the world will never forget. These things just take time and I have faith in you, so does everyone in the city."
Erica thought about saying how whenever Louise walked down the street that she would always have a smile on her face and brighten up the day for everyone that she encountered. Instead, the regular sized woman found herself being picked up and thrust against the chest of the French Giantess.
With great care, Louise hugged Erica and made sure that her grip was only strong enough to keep her in place and not cause her any harm. There was even a warm glow that radiated from her which only made the entire thing seem more pleasant to her.
For Erica, she had somewhat expected to feel some kind of crushing sensation and that she would be scared. But instead, she felt a sense of warmth and safety. One that she had never felt before and this made her close her eyes and simply enjoy the hug. The giantess was truly a being to her that she would look up as a Guardian figure who would protect her and others from harm.
Nothing could seemingly spoil what was happening as both women simply felt better about the everything. It might not have been perfect, but it wasn't too far away from this and things might not be as bad as they had first seemed.

Looks like the 2 sides are still slow and onto different ways. With Serena continuing her encounter while Louise is enjoying her faithful reunion.
