Diane: Bigger, Longer and Awkward: Chapter 4

Diane continued on her journey as she was still unaware of the inconvenience that she had caused to the people of Hallford. From her point of view, they had given her food and she had eaten her fill. Never did she consider that the amount that she had eaten had actually them unlikely that they would be able to feed themselves.

Instead, the elongated giantess simply walked and even patted her now inflated belly. All the food that she had just eaten was sitting within her stomach. Even for her overall size, she had eaten a great amount and still hadn't fully comprehended this feat. Her mind was on other things as she simply continued to walk.

"That was a lovely lunch," said Diane to herself as she did pat her belly as she continued to step forward. "And those people back there were very nice. I'll be sure to make sure that I properly thank them when I'm back to normal."

A smile continued to be plastered on her face as she continued to pat her potbelly. However, she couldn't help but stop in her tracks and look at it. Her mind was finally beginning to realise something as her grin faded away. It was replaced by a look of concern as she couldn't help but think.

"Actually my belly is a little big." She rubbed it once more and her face began to turn red in embarrassment. "I wonder what the others will say when they see it like this? Ban will probably make some kind of smart ass comment. But King, will he still love me if I still have this." She paused for a moment as she thought about it for a moment. "Then again, I guess he'll be more distracted by my other changes."

Diane looked over to her legs and then she looked at her arms. It was still unbelievable for her that this had happened. She hadn't been too pleased with her size before, but now it was in another league entirely. Thanks to her thoughts, she hadn't even fully realised that her difficulty to walk had been subsiding slowly but surely.

Everything that was on her mind was distracted as she felt an odd sensation in her stomach. A bloated feeling overtook her and she could feel bubbling within. There was fear that did begin to creep in as she thought that she might be seeing her previous meal again in one of the worst ways she could think.

"I don't feel too good."

But what Diane experienced next was definitely not what she was expecting. The feeling of discomfort was still there and she still thought that she was going to throw up. Thankfully for her that didn't happen, instead something that she thought was impossible took place in its stead.

The giantess still had her hand placed on her belly but she could feel it moving around somewhat underneath her fingers. For a moment, there was even the thought that she was about to belch. At her size, such a thing would be completely unlike any that had been heard before. Bit instead she was in absolute disbelief as she saw her belly beginning to shrink. It was almost as if a balloon was having its air let out but there was no deflating sound.

Instead, it just continued to shrink making her potbelly seem less obvious with every passing moment. Diane had never seen anything like this and she could feel the bloating sensation beginning to subside as her potbelly continued to become smaller right before her very eyes. Never did she imagine such a thing would happen, especially to herself.

Almost as suddenly as it started, the process ended with her belly becoming more or less flat like it had been before. Her bloated feeling too was completely gone and although she still felt full, there didn't seem to be too much evidence of the huge meal that she had just undertaken just a short time earlier.

"W-What happened?" asked Diane to herself as she continued to place her hand on her now regular belly. "D-Did my body digest my food just like that? How is that even possible?" In a way, she couldn't help but be thankful as having an inflated stomach like she had would definitely not be the best look for her.

She thought that it was still best to allow Merlin to help her and hopefully explain what had just happened. If anyone was able to tell her exactly what happened, then it would be the most intelligent member of the Seven Deadly Sins. That was if she could get to her before anything else happened.

Because of this, Diane continued to walk but found this more difficult than she had originally anticipated. This wasn't because she was tripping over her feet once again. She had instinctively adjusted to her longer frame and hadn't even realised that she had done such a thing.

Instead, she was simply feeling fatigued. However, this was something that she couldn't help but feel was odd. It wasn't too late in the day and she had a decent sleep the night before. Her walk hadn't been too exhausting for her and yet, she felt completely exhausted. Even to the point that she could barely keep her eyes open.

Her very large strides had begun to stagger as she was struggling to walk in a straight line. This was also accompanied with very long and loud yawns as she seemed to be struggling with every step that she took. She couldn't help but feel as though she was going to collapse at any moment.

"W-Why am I so tired?" asked Diane to herself as she was forced to stop in her tracks. All around her were fields for as far as the eye could see. There were many trees that were close by but they still seemed very small to her. Her question was followed by another long yawn and she couldn't help but feel as though she had been awake for several days straight. "Maybe digesting all that food so quickly has something to do with it. I don't know." Another yawn escaped her lips and she couldn't put it to one side anymore, she was completely exhausted.

Since she had no choice in the matter, the abnormal looking giantess lay herself down on the ground. Thankfully, there was enough room for her to do so as she tried to make herself comfortable. Many humans were used to sleeping in comfortable beds, something that a giant rarely ever experienced. Only when Diane was shrunk down to human size could se actually fit into a bed. Due to this fact, she was more than used to sleeping on the ground out in the wilderness.

When the giantess normally slept, she would curl up into a ball of sorts. It was one that made her feel comfortable and it seemed that this was what she was going to do during this slumber as well. Her eyes were already closed and she brought her legs up to her chest but she felt something very peculiar.

This was the sensation of something touching her face. This did cause her to open her eyes so that she could try and see what it was. Much to her surprise, she could see that it was her elongated thighs. In a way, she couldn't be surprised by what she was seeing. Since her legs now made up the majority of her height, such a thing wasn't outlandish. Although while she was curled up like this, her knees were slightly above her head.

It was still very odd for her to think that her thighs were longer than her entire upper body. It was just a reminder to her about just how long her legs were in comparison to the rest of her. Her long arms were already something to behold, but it seemed to be secondary in comparison to her legs.

Seeing that she couldn't sleep like this, Diane had no choice but to stretch her body out. She did feel her feet stretch into a small group of trees that were immediately knocked over. But she didn't pay too much mind to this as she simply wanted to sleep. A part of her even thought that everything would be alright after a good long rest.

There had been times in her life when she had been feeling unwell and she had felt better after going to sleep. She hoped that this would be the same and that when she woke up, she would be back to her regular performance and the entire event would be something that she could laugh about with her other comrades. She did think that some of them wouldn't find it all that funny. But she was sure that she would be able to chuckle about it and maybe even look back upon with nostalgia.

Without wasting too much time, Diane did drift off to sleep and she couldn't help but have a smile on her face as she began to dream. She imagined that she was at her regular proportions once more and that she was on a beach and sunbathing in the warm sun. In a way, she was doing this in reality but rather than being on a tropical island. Her location was still the land of Britannia.

But there was something else that the giantess began to do that was somewhat in the realm of normalcy but was still very strange for her. This was that during her peaceful slumber that she was beginning to snore. Such a thing wasn't too unusual for her as she had snored on a few occasions.

Diane's snoring had never been like this though. Each snore shook the very earth for at least a mile around and the volume was so loud that it could burst the eardrums of a person if they got too close. To many, it was a wonder how she didn't wake herself up with her own snoring but despite this, the elongated giantess continued to sleep.

Nothing could get close to her as the sheer volume of her snoring kept every living creature away. In a way, it was a good thing since it meant that no one could disturb her was she slumbered.

Despite her seemingly peaceful circumstances, she still had a lot that she would have to overcome in the near future. But at least for the time being, she could continue to sleep and forget about the situation that she had found herself in. It was likely that things had been relatively easy for her all things considering. Her luck wasn't going to last that much longer as word had already begun to spread.
