Diane: Bigger, Longer and Awkward: Chapter 13

Several minutes went by and Diane placed her hand on her bloated belly as the creature that she had captured had been completely consumed. Not even a scrap of it was remaining after the elongated giantess had finally eaten her fill. There was even a loud belch that escaped her lips once she was finished. This did embarrass her somewhat but to her, it just meant that she had enjoyed her food.

The creature that she had consumed was supposed to be able to take on a small army all by itself. However, it had easily been captured by Diane and eaten before it really knew what exactly it was facing. There had been no malice behind her actions as she had simply been hungry and looked out for what would fill her up the quickest.

"That really hit the spot," said Diane as she lay back onto a nearby hill and continued to pat her enlarged stomach. "But now I have this thing to worry about again. Or maybe it'll go away like it did last time."

Her mind was beginning to drift as fatigue was getting the better of her. This was quite surprising for her as she had only been awake for a few hours. However, she already felt as though she had been awake for the entire day and was about to go to bed. It was true that she had fought a giant ant and gone through another growth spurt. But even so, she thought that she would still be a little more awake.

The truth was that from the moment that she had woken up to this very moment had only been around four hours. This had still been enough to tire her out and she let out a loud yawn that could be heard for miles in every direction. Also, thanks to where she was sitting, she felt very comfortable but she could still sense everything around her. As long as one of the soles of her feet touched the ground, she would be able to use this ability.

"Maybe I might have a little nap, then go and find… what's her name?" said Diane as she felt her mind beginning to drift. Even now, she forgot the name of her comrade as she had seemed to have her thoughts on other things. These thoughts were interrupted when she felt the bubbling sensation in her belly that she had felt previously. This did make her smile as she realised what was about to happen. "Ah, here we go."

Suddenly the elongated giantess felt her stomach beginning to deflate. However, this time was slightly different than what had happened previously. Rather than deflating in one smooth motion, it seemed to deflate in bursts. The first deflation only made it look slightly smaller than it had before. However, this only lasted moments before another burst caused it to become smaller.

The bursts happened until her belly returned to its normal size in relation to her abnormal body. Diane felt even more relaxed after this and could feel herself drifting off to sleep. A smile was still on her face and she did continue to enjoy the meal that she had eaten and how it had conquered her hunger, for the time being.

"There we go, all gone now," said Diane as she continued to feel her mind drifting away. "This has all been so weird and yet I can't help but…"

The elongated giantess couldn't finish her sentence as she completely drifted off to sleep. Almost immediately, her slumber was a deep one that no one was likely to awaken her from until she was ready. The sound of her snoring too could be heard for miles in every direction and was more than enough to keep most wild animals away.

It was lost on her just how much her body had truly changed as she hadn't even noticed that she hadn't needed to excrete since she had become the way that it was. It was as if her body wasn't producing any waste as it needed every single calorie that it could obtain. However, right now none of this was important to her.

All that Diane was concerned about now was that she took her nap which was turning into a full blown sleep. It was true that she had only been awake for a very short amount of time and it seemed to be another side effect of her immense size. It seemed as though the lake had changed her in more ways than she could have possibly imagined. Although none of this really mattered to her since at this point. All she cared about was resting and possibly continuing her journey the following day. But the thoughts of doing such a thing were already slipping away as she had even forgotten the Merlin's name.

Two weeks went by without too much of a change in Diane's situation. What was quite surprising for her was that she had actually grown any bigger or taller than she had done since shortly after fighting the giant ant. But things had basically been on repeat for her ever since then.

The elongated giantess's day would normally start with her waking up at around ten o'clock. Finding something to eat and then going to sleep by around two o'clock. Each time she slept it felt to her like she was only taking a short nap, because of this, each time she woke up she still thought it was the same day. She had yet to realise that each time she actually went to sleep, she was sleeping for around twenty hours.

Something else that she didn't realise was just what her actions were affecting the world around. Each time she was awake, she would consume an almost unthinkable amount of food which meant that there was less for the people around her. Entire farms and towns would have all of their livestock and crops eaten by the elongated giantess.

Word was already spreading about Diane and there had even been an attempt to put an end to her while she was asleep. However, she had subconsciously erected defences around her using her earth based abilities. Once she was asleep, she would generate a wall around her and even created giant golems that were more than enough to stop any army from even remotely got close to her.

The strangest thing about this was that she wasn't even intending to create such things. Throughout this time, she was simply sleeping and dreaming and things that made sense while she slept. But then she would realise how nonsensical it was when she woke up. She would also have no idea about what exactly happened while she had been asleep. The walls and golems would recede back into the ground by the time she woke up.

Something else that Diane didn't realise was just how much of a threat that she had become to the people around her. Although she was still careful with where she was walking but her very presence now brought absolute terror to the regular people of Britannia. There were even some who considered her to be a force of nature.

Not only had her body changed but so did her mind. Many things about herself had been forgotten such as her allies and even the fact that she needed to find Merlin in order to fix her current predicament. Right now, all that mattered to her was feeding herself and then finding a comfortable place to sleep.

Meanwhile, some distance away a worker at a tavern was quite nervous as she began to bring drinks to a particular table. She had been working there for a few years and she had never known things to be so bad. Even when demons were running around the country, it still didn't seem as though it were worse than having Diane roaming around.

However, at this moment in time, the elongated giantess wasn't the source of her worry. Instead, it was to the table that she was taking the food and drinks to. Sitting there was a woman wearing a purple outfit that made it clear that she was a magic user of some kind. With a pleasant smile on her face, she placed the tray onto the table and tried to hide her current dread.

"Here you go," said the Serving Woman. She watched as the spellcaster turned her head towards her and smiled. In a way, this did soothe her nerves somewhat. "Is there anything that I can help you with?"

"No, you're perfectly fine thank you," replied Nadine as she continued to smile at the serving woman. She could clearly see how the employee of the establishment was worried about approaching them.

"Yeah, thanks," added another voice. Suddenly a very large hand came down and grabbed onto one of the cups that contained a decent amount of ale. This caused the serving woman to look up as she could see the source of her worry.

Sitting at the table was Nadine's fellow Holy Knight Natasha who had more than changed since her last encounter with Diane. Even sitting down, she was by far the tallest person in tavern and if she were stand up, her head would clearly go through the ceiling. It was likely that the majority of her upper body would also go through as well since she was simply that large.

Placing the cup to her mouth, Natasha was able to drink the contents within a few moments and then placed it back down on the table. Thanks to Diane's activities, the price of almost everything had skyrocketed. This made the amount of ale that she had drank considerably more expensive than it had been a couple of weeks ago. Worse still was that thanks to her current size, the amount that she had drunk seemed only to be a fraction of what it would have been.

The serving woman did step away from the table as she wanted to make herself scarce so that she didn't have to face the now very large Natasha. But she had also tried to figure out exactly what the very large woman was. At first, she thought that her gigantic patron was a giant, but almost immediately thought that she was too small to be one. On the flip side, Natasha was definitely too big to be a human.

The idea of her being a half human, half giant hybrid was considered. But this was thought to be impossible in the mind of the serving woman. Simply put, she couldn't imagine how a human and giant would be able to do what was needed to be done in order to produce someone like Natasha.

Instead, she simply kept these thoughts to herself as she would glance over to the Holy Knight pair. Not only was Diane's presence in Britannia causing untold chaos but now she had to worry about housing a customer who could likely cause some destruction to the establishment and also didn't seem to be in the best mood.
