Sakura groaned quite loudly as she sat herself up from where she had landed. A sense of annoyance did overcome her as she wasn’t too pleased with how she had entered this new world. A more conventional way such as suddenly appearing like she had seen on TV was one way, but falling miles from the sky was another entirely.
The fact that she could even still move around and wasn’t instantly killed was nothing short of a miracle as far as she was concerned.
Slowly she did get back up to her feet and even put her flip flops back on as she once more tried to decide what she should do next. There was the memory the princess that she was supposed to protect.
Before Sakura could even decide what she should do next. She did notice her beloved metal baseball bat lying on the ground not too far from where she had landed. With some eagerness, she did pick it back up and she seemed to be more than happy to have it in her hands once more. In a way, she felt that it was an extension of herself and didn’t feel as if she was completely herself without it.
“Hello there did you miss Mommy?” asked Sakura to herself as she lifted her baseball bat. One thing that she did notice was that it seemed to be weightless in her hand. Normally she had felt the weight of it, but this time she felt nothing. She even threw it in the air and spun it before catching it once again. “Hmm, this doesn’t feel quite the same, but maybe you received some kind of upgrade. Maybe you can shoot lightning or perhaps you can smash rocks.”
As she was thinking about everything that was possible, she suddenly saw the baseball bat itself glow very brightly. It almost blinded her but it seemed to only last for a few moments before finally subsiding. Only then could she look towards her hands and notice something that did catch her by surprise. The metal baseball bat that had been there just a few moments ago had now completely disappeared.
“What the hell?” asked Sakura as she began to look around. Hoping to see her precious weapon. “Where did it go? Damn it, just when I thought that I was finally getting my bearings. I get my favourite thing in the world taken away.” She sighed loudly but as she looked around, she did notice that there was something in her mind that was pulling her to a certain direction. “Hmm, that’s weird. Maybe that’s where that princess is supposed to be. I don’t care, if that so called goddess thinks I’m going to waste my life protecting some uptight diva. She has another thing coming.”
With confidence in her step, Sakura did go to walk in the completely opposite direction to where she could sense herself being pulled to. Her confidence only lasted for a few moments, before she felt herself keel over in agony. Her hands were clenched around her stomach as she thought that there might be something that was trying to burst out. One thing was for sure was that she had never felt agony like this before.
Sweat began to roll down her brow as she tried to overcome the agony that she was feeling and she found herself lying on the ground. She was curled up thanks to the pain and she tried her best to not cry. However, this was something that she found to be extremely difficult. Never had she experienced such pain before and she thought that there was only one way to put an end to it.
“Ok, ok,” said Sakura as she seemed to be giving in. “I’ll go, just stop whatever you’re doing to me. Please.” This was probably the first time in years that she had ever said please for anything.
No sooner had she said this the pain began to subside and within moments it was gone all together. There was a series of strong pants from Sakura as she tried to recover from her far from pleasant experience. Slowly she rose back up to her feet and continued to pant. This was just a demonstration that she was answering to another and she was far from pleased with such an undertaking.
Sakura did stand for a moment as she looked in the direction that her mind was telling her that Princess Hitomi was. It was as if she was been given some kind of homing device within her head. She did find this quite helpful as it would make finding the princess much easier. But now she had to actually do something.
Slowly but surely, she did begin to walk forward and she could see quite a lot of the world that was around her. She couldn’t help but think that it had a peaceful feel to it. There were fields and some forests that stretched as far as the eye could see. For a city girl like her, it was definitely something that she did find quite a change of scenery. In a way, she couldn’t help but feel somewhat peaceful.
Birds were flying in the air above her and their songs were quite pleasant to her ears. It made her think that this was supposed to be like a person’s happy place. Where their minds would go when they were experiencing something that they didn’t seem to like or completely be prepared for.
Sakura did keep walking and there were a couple of things that she did feel that did seem to be a little off. For one her footsteps did feel heavier than she remembered. Thanks to her short stature, she had more than often been very light on her feet. This time each footstep seemed to be quite heavy, almost as if her weight had significantly increased somehow. However, when she looked down at herself she could see that her proportions were still the same. She even thought that maybe she had been given some kind of ability that in turn increased her weight somehow. Like making her muscles super dense which would make her stronger, but keep her muscles at a reasonable size.
As she walked closer to where she could sense Princess Hitomi, she suddenly began to hear something. It was quite faint at first, but as she stepped closer, she definitely could hear the voice of a woman. It sounded as though she was in some distress and this did cause her quicken her pace so that she could catch up with them.
Just as she made her way towards the cries for help, there was something that Sakura did notice. There seemed to be a carriage that had been overturned and the bodies of several people right on the ground. The carriage was one that wasn’t pulled by horses but rather was carried by people.
The woman that she saw looked just like the woman that the Goddess had showed her just before she had arrived in this world. She seemed to be in pure terror as she thought her life was coming to an end. Near her were men who weren’t wearing any armour or seemed to be any kind of military force. Instead, the weapons that they had was equipment that many would consider to be tools. There was around half a dozen of them and it was clear that they had taken the others by surprise.
One thing that Sakura did notice that was something that was completely surprising to her. The people that were around her were very small, probably the tallest only being as tall as her leg. At first she thought that they were young children, but when she could see the facial hair on a few of the princess’s attackers she realised that they were indeed adults. Their proportions seemed to be normal as well, so having them as little people was also out of the question. It almost seemed as though they were regular size men who had been shrunk down somehow.
That wasn’t the only thing that she found to be quite strange. Their clothing made it seem as though they had just out of a samurai film as they seemed to look like peasants from that time era. Their clothing was nothing more than what looked to be rags and sandals with the Princess seemingly being from the same time period.
Sakura’s sudden appearance did catch everyone by surprise and the fact that she was so much larger than themselves. There was stunned silence between each of them as their desires to capture Princess Hitomi seemed to subside for the moment. Instead, they were all in disbelief of this giant that had sudden appeared.
“Leave her alone!” stated Sakura who made sure that she put on her most intimidating voice. It was louder than she had expected and she thought and she began to realise that she was still indeed a giantess.
“What the hell is that?” asked one of the Bandits that were present.
There was genuine fear in his voice as he was.
“Kill her!” shouted another.
There was a war cry of such as one of the bandits ran directly towards Sakura. He was carrying what seemed to be a rake that he wanted to use in order to strike her. All that he got was her oversized foot in his chest and he was sent flying back. Even she seemed to be surprised with how far he had flown back.
The other five didn’t seem to know what they were going to do next. It was clear to them that Sakura was much stronger than them, but there was still a good chance that together. There was also a thought of trying to get their hands on Princess Hitomi to hold as a hostage.
But they watched as the giantess began to move herself so that she was between them and their target. Making it unlikely that they could get to Princess Hitomi without having to go through her first.

I hope Sakura wins this fight.
