Man writing an article like these everyday is tiring XD Also still have to do the next feature for Outstanding Artists and Creators! Tomorrow I also plan to do a basic conclusion on Mental Illness, I wrote more about that at the end of this journal.

Mental Health Awareness: Self-HarmHello everyone! This is day 3 of my 5 day world mental health awareness journals. The past two days I went over Depression and Anxiety:

Today I will be going over self-harm. This is a darker chapter to go over, so I'll try to keep it as light as possible.
As someone with mental illness myself and mental illness that runs in the family, I would like to share some personal experiences that have helped me through my mental illness.
I am not a professional. These are my experiences and how I've dealt with them, I do not have a degree in therapy. If you need professional help, please contact a professional. I am writing this journal in hopes that my experiences will help

One word that described your life was warm. You grew up with a loving family, had close friends, a great education, and a husband and child you came home to everyday. You lived happily, euphorically. But of course, just like anyone else, you had your own times of sadness and despair. For you, life was warm in the way on long winter's nights, when you pulled on a sweater, wrapped yourself in a blanket, sat in front of the fire, and drank a cup of cocoa. It was the type of warm that fought against the cold. It was the type of happy that got rid of the sad.
And now, as you sat on the couch next to your husband, Tobio, and snuggling with your daughter, (Daughter's Name), you looked back upon life and the time when the warmth rid the cold.

"What happened?"
Slowly, your eyelids opened, revealing a figure, kneeling before you. Where were you? How'd you get here? Who was this figure? What had happened? These questions seemed to circle your head, around and around. You weren't sure what the answers were, so you closed your eyes, leaned back onto a cold wall, trying to recollect what happened.
"Hey. What's wrong? Are you hurt?"
That voice. You remember it. Once again, you open your eyes, trying to take in every little detail that you could see. The first thing you notice is, of course, the figure in front of you. His shoulder length hair is blond, but becomes black near the roots. His eyes are golden, the color of honey, and resemble a cat's: piercing, ready to strike at any moment. His face held a concerned expression, yet looked almost calm at the sa

The night was inky and hushed. Little movement and noise took place except for the pitter-patter of your footsteps upon the stone stairs. The quiet, light sounds echoed off the apartment building's outer walls, disappearing into Tokyo's soft hum. As you came to your apartment's door, you gulped. You pressed your ear to the cold metal and listened. Inside, the soft snores of your boyfriend, Erwin, could be heard. You let out a small sigh of relief, and as silently as possible, opened the door cautiously.
Stepping inside, the small apartment had become cavernous and pitch black, giving a new meaning to the word "eerie". It was the suspense of whether or not Erwin would wake and find you that gave you the chills. Inaudibly, you tiptoed through the labyrinthine apartment, making your way through the kitchen to the bedroom, and finally the bathroom.

So I might be bringing this group back! ^.^ Sorry it's been sooo long. I have a hard time multi-tasking so running my page and groups at the same time was really stressful on me

Wow. I just went through and read all the quotes in the journals. This is a wonderful group and it has already given me a lot to think about!

I don't know if this is possible, but if people in this group are sort of active and want to try this, maybe we could have some sort of conversations or like a help desk...basically, people are constantly suffering, and maybe other people in this group can help. If you are feeling down, we can listen and offer support. I don't know, just a thought. I'd be happy to discuss legisitics with someone.

I've been trying to ask people if they want to help be a contributor or co-founder and no one has really stepped up xD If you want you can be given a position just to help more further with it ^^ Its hard to keep up on my own! I was hoping someday it would be one of those popular helpful groups to inspire a lot of deviants out there! I'm hoping to get around sometime

But thank you and any help would be so much appreciated! Its so hard to do it on my own and my co-founder has been going through a lot of things so she hasn't been on much (which I understand). But yeah that sounds like a great idea!

I also have this group that isn't that far quite yet xD >> dAHELP-line Its where deviants who are going through some problems on here or in rl and talk to someone about it

Like I said its not really that far xD But maybe combining these two groups in a way might help

And not at all! You can submit to any folder at all as long as there is nothing like porno or yaoi, etc. The Inspiration folder is also used for just inspirations. If you have a pic you might consider as an inspiration then submit away!!!

Not a problem! And the rules with submitting aren't that strict. You can submit to any folder you like except for the inspirations of the week (since that's for a different). But you can mostly submit anything in any folder you want

as long as its not porn or anything
