CB Kids, Day 12: Suzie (1985)

Today's Care Bears Kid is the avid roller-skater Suzie (or Suzy, or Susie, whatever you like to spell) from DIC's Care Bears animated series. She appeared in the second half of the seventh episode titled "Concrete Rain".

For Suzie's involvement in this episode, she was skating across the streets, but other people are getting in her way. Suzie was upset when there's not enough area with concrete. This leads to Professor Coldheart hiring her to help them cover the whole town (literally) in concrete.

The Care Bear trio investigate the concrete epidemic and meet Suzie, who is still desiring to have more concrete to skate on and thought the Care Bears disliked skating.

Later in Professor Coldheart's plane, equipped with a concrete deposit, Suzie was commissioned to use the shovel for inserting the cement mix to the deposit to make concrete.

The Care Bear trio arrived near the Coldheart Castle, only to get blown away by Coldheart's plane, where Suzie began to shove the cement mix into the deposit to make concrete.

Later in the episode, Suzie had her mind changed (courtesy of Friend Bear, the pale orange Care Bear), since she felt upset about the current state of the town, which had been covered in concrete.

While still working with Coldheart, Suzie desired to skate normally again and that's when Cheer Bear (the light pink Care Bear) showed her that having a concrete world meant there'll be no water, picnic and parks.

Suzie and Cheer Bear escaped from Professor Coldheart's plane, then the Care Bear Cousins etch the concrete out by using the "Cousin Call" technique, allowing the Care Bears to make the clouds rain with the "Care Bear Stare" technique, effectively erasing all that concrete from structures and flora in the town.

Suzie was happy about the whole town's restoration to its original condition and decides to have a picnic with the Care Bears, while the villains retreat as they carry the destroyed plane for repair.

Tried to keep the design show-accurate and tested out some faded speed lines for effects.
