Waves, receding with the tide, rolled over his feet and buried them in the sand as he remained unmoved, his eyes fixed to the starry horizon. The sun had long since set and the people of the town turned in to their homes or quarters aboard the long-dormant clan star cruiser, but he could not sleep. The young man’s mind was troubled, tortured even, by memory. Reja Zleedo was a Jedi. At least, he had been, until the Purge. In the few years that had passed since then, he wasn’t sure anymore. If you asked him, he would insist he was still a Jedi, but now, among his ancestral people, a hidden Mandalorian clan, and after all that he had had to do in order to survive the rise of the Galactic Empire, he was not so sure, for it was memories of that fateful day, when his world had ended
