Tree Tunnel by A-Fox-Of-Fiction Tree Tunnel by A-Fox-Of-Fiction
The last of the pictures I'm posting from my trip. I find this one very interesting as it looks like all the trees together are forming some sort of tunnel...but with no leaves, it looks more like something out of The Nightmare Before Christmas. Fitting given Halloween is just around the corner...

I know :D:D:D that's just what I thought when I saw it. It's a great scene, looks totally Burtonesque. I loved that film...must have taken a long time to make though.
I'm glad you love the picture I took, this was one I especially enjoyed taking.

Yep, actually we walked through it...first time I ever really went backpacking. Or in this case, walking about two miles with a twentyfive pound bag of stuff on my back, and while I have gotten some better strength from my exercise I'm not generally used to carrying that much weight around for a two mile hike through the woods, especially since my sleeping bag was at the top and seemed to want to shift weight downward if you get my drift.
Despite that, I actually did pretty good, granted it felt a bit tight on my chest but I didn't really even need to take breaks from it...until we got to the cabin, I only removed the pack once, and that was just because my shoelaces had come undone and I needed to tie them. I enjoyed my time there though.

Cool you enjoy your time.
Hahaha yeah, I know, I really hate to carry my sleeping, but gosh I so love it (so fluffy and soft), so I don't care :giggle:

Great walk you had

I certainly did...have you ever used a cabin before?
It's surprising that something this soft could give off that much weight...but sleeping in them feels pretty nice. And I wouldn't be able to sleep much without it, so I don't mind. You've done plenty of backpacking yourself...out of curiosity, do you keep the sleeping bag at the bottom or the top?

Yeah it was an interesting experience, and I felt good after I succeeded in carrying the gear.

Yes

Yes, altought you can choos a flufffy spot of grass and herbs and sleep there (I love that is so comfortable too)

Depending how I pack or where I'm going, but usually bottom.

I'm guessing you've probably done it more than me...what did you think of it?

Sleep on the bare ground with a pillow of leaves? Interesting, never tried that...not sure though, wouldn't that expose one's clothes (and body by extension) to ants?

Huh, I put mine at the top...tried it at the bottom at one point but it wasn't fastened securely.

:D Thanks.

Heh, yep...got several good pictures, these are just the three I really wanted to upload to DA. Didn't expect to seeing a grouping of trees like this though.
