Patter-patter-patter. I find the sound of the rain against the umbrella really satisfying. Sometimes, I'll hum to the rhytm, but most of the times, I just enjoy the ambience. The days grow shorter now, colder. I need a jacket for the evening walks, something with deep pockets to hold the chestnuts I find irresistible to pick up. Halloween is almost upon us, and it makes me think how many people think about October through the lens of it. For me, it's that, of course - Halloween is my favourite holiday - but there's more. I like sitting in the local cemetery and thinking about how life passes. There is stillness there that doesn't demand anything from me. I think about all these petty little squabbles, tiny things people get upset over - but the headstones provide a necessary perspective. In ten, fifteen, twenty years, will these frictions matter? Will I even remember what the argument was about? As I grew older, I definitely started to handle bad days better; I simply ask myself

I woke up today to the sound of rain hitting the windows. I peeked through the blind - wow, a vertical wall of water! It felt like salvation after weeks of relentless heatwave. I don't particularly like summer; here in the UK, the heat is worse than in many places, because the humidity makes every step feel like waddling in soup. But now, the air is finally crisp and fresh, and I can breathe again. The light changes too; the sun is lower in the sky, casting dramatic shadows that make everything look like a painting. What's that? Sweaters? Well, duh! Sweaters are the best! I love the texture of wool, and my cardigans still carry a faint smell of the laundry detergent from when I retired them. (Also, thick socks. Also flat caps!) Fall just seems to be the most comfortable time of year for me - cozying up with books, drinking hot chocolate, and watching the leaves turn from green to yellow and then to orange. And the food! Pumpkin spice everything! Extra cinnamon, warm soups

Hi everyone! 👋 @vagrantscout from the @Community team here. Back on September 18th, I visited Anthro SoCal 2026 to check out the scene and it was epic! 🐾 From hanging with DeviantArt members to meeting amazing new artists, I was completely immersed in the Anthro / Furry universe all afternoon. Here’s a look back at all the fun that was had at this year’s con! [DEVIATION] [DEVIATION] [DEVIATION] The star of the show 🌟 DeviantArt senior member @The-SixthLeafClover was nice enough to let me hang out at her booth to meet some deviants and hand out some swag. She was a total rock star at the convention with the largest booth in the Dealer’s Den and a constant stream of people visiting. She even got to design the official tank top for the convention, so cool! 😎 The Fursuits were FIERCE! 🐺 I’m always amazed by the artistry that goes into fursuit design, but this year’s offerings were just stunning. New innovations in cooling, mask automations, tech integrations, and just so many different
