I love the concept of your piece, and the originality. Every time I look, I see something I didn't see previously. As far as technique,...

I create sporadically lately. Watching my mother-in-law, who is everything I wish my mother had been and never was, struggle with Alzheimer's is heartbreaking. She is still living in her own home, but we are in the same town and my husband goes to her house every evening. His oldest sister picks her up each morning and brings her back in the afternoon before she goes to work. His other sister picks her up on Friday afternoons and brings her back on Sunday, which gives us our weekends back (for the longest time, we were the only ones going over there regularly). But things had to change, especially when she called 911 at 3:30 in the morning telling the cops she didn't know where she was (she was home). She also insists that a "little old man" is messing with her meds. We figure the "little old man" is probably my father-in-law, who died a few years ago. So sad to see her deteriorate...and we're NOT looking forward to a time when she doesn't know who we are:( [Though I should add, she told me last week when we were there to bring her dinner, "You are so beautiful!" Hehe, that felt sweet;) ]

Menopause has been kicking my ass for the last year or two. Pretty severe hot flashes lately. Not fun.

New boss at work, so while the transition to a new boss (especially after not really having one for the last two and a half years) is rough, at least things are starting to look up!

Finally, we added another dog to our family. I should correct that. We added two, though one of them is only temporary. That one - Chance - we met two and a half months ago. My sister's neighbor was keeping him for a "friend" who couldn't keep him. We went to meet him, he's an American Bulldog. Owner flaked out, decided she was going to keep him or have a neighbor take him or have her ex take him, blah blah blah. So we waited a couple of months, then I called my sister to ask if the dog was all set and was she sure because we were going to put an application in for a rescue dog. "Yup, she's keeping him." So we picked up our little Boxer mix, Petey. Three days later, my sister calls to tell me Chance's owner was having him put down in two days. (Seriously, some people should not be allowed to have pets. Or kids, for that matter). So...even though we knew no vet would put down a healthy dog, we also knew that if they dumped him at a shelter, because he's an American Bulldog, he probably would not be "adoptable" and would end up dead anyway...we picked him up. So we have an 11-month-old 90-lb behemoth and an 11-month-old 35-lb thief/escape artist who likes to eat shoes. Ugh. We're trying to rehome Chance, have a pretty good potential home that's interested. So the training of Petey is sort of on hold until we're back down to three dogs. Not the basic training, obviously...but introducing him to our cat, learning to leave him uncrated when we're not home? Those things will wait until Chance has gone to his forever home.

So I create when I get a chance to get on my computer, which lately hasn't been very often. Still...every time I do, it reminds me of how therapeutic it is. So I should probably make the time to do it more often:)

I'm a secretary by trade, but secretly I'm a writer:) I love to express myself with words, but I also like to dive into my imagination and create pretty images - whether from photos, from games I've played, or...?

I use Paint Shop Pro 7 and PSP Pro X4. For one, I couldn't afford Photoshop when I first started dabbling in web design and makin' pictures, and PSP was the closest I could get. Then...when I probably could have afforded Photoshop, I was so used to using PSP that I was hesitant to switch. Even so, I upgraded to PSP Pro X4...and I still usually revert back to PSP 7 because I'm so used to the UI:)

I've got a Canon PowerShot SX100 IS. I don't even know if that's good or not; it's a few years old. So I do take some pictures when the weather allows.
