Chapter Two: An Experiment
The AAIAT base had been quiet for the past week. A little too quiet. Nothing new had arisen since Susanne’s arrival. No news from Reptile, no breakthroughs in what happened to Susanne as a result of her “tests”, no nothing. This lull in events had begun taking its toll on the agency, especially the Director. The U.N. had nothing important to say, just “Get off your lazy ass and find out what this girl can do!” He had honestly been trying, but no one could get through to her. It took at least three agents to get her to eat, and no one could get her to talk anymore than she had her first day. All she ever did was sit in her room and think.
