Oh yes, no question about the music. They nailed that on the head, but with its gameplay I felt that it was rushed even for a Sonic game. Like the moment I blink first starting a level, I complete it? Was that it, I barely even moved yet alone has it passed a minute!
Yeah, I suppose that's why your character just walks or sprints around the place, but then there are the "shortcuts" given to you constantly through out. Like that one level where you have a bunch of rows of rings that can let you skip an entire level, or those jumps that just lets you skip a bit of the level one jump at a time like seriously?
Yes, all and all they were good, but I just have a problem with the gameplay. Everything else for me was fine but the gameplay was what got to me. Especially with the strange concept of how Sonic can speed dash now? Before he just needed to collect rings to fill up his boost meter, now he needs the help of the Wisps (which is also an issue as to why they're there?) in order to boost. Was that change really necessary? And the fact that Classic Sonic wasn't from the past as portrayed in Generations, but from an alternate dimension?
They explain why the wisps are there in the comics. Some of them stayed on Sonic's world after Sonic Colors to set up a colony, and in exchance for Sonic helping them before, they agreed to power the Wispons to allow the Resistance to fight back against Eggman.
And yeah, Classic Sonic was the one from Mania, since that world's Phantom Ruby opened up a vortex.
