Shadow the Hedgehog walked through the dark paths of the park, the wind gently blowing the treetops. The moon shown in a half circle above, and the stars were flickering all around. Shadow stopped near a bench and looked up at the sky, wondering for a moment waiting.
A white blur suddenly whizzed past Shadow and skidded to a halt close by. The wind blew Shadows spikes to one side, and then they slid back into their original position. Shadow smiled and turned around, crossing his arms and looking at the white hedgehog.
Not as fast as Sonic, but certainly prompter, he taunted.
Oh be quiet Shadow. Emra brushed dirt from her dress. She smiled and lifted her head at Shadow, her blue eyes glinting like the stars. Shadow sighed, feeling as if he could melt right where he stood. No matter how many times he looked at her
she always got straight to his core. He snapped himself back into reality and cleared his throat.
Ready for our walk?
