Voyage of the Secret: Part 2The conversation between Garin and Mat had moved to the galley, where the boy explained everything as he ate some food, but by this time the whole crew had gathered to listen.
"So you've been looking for the Secret your whole life?" Garin asked.
"Sort of. The story always fascinated me, and I knew a few people who had some connections on maybe where to find evidence that it existed. Eventually, I found an old coot living here on Mystery Island who spent his pastime collecting anything related to the Secret… including a painting of the ship herself."
"Get out!" Jacques said. "No one's seen her in years!"
"That's what I said!" Mat said. "But when I saw the painting myself. As it turned out, it may not even be an accurate image. See, it was painted by a girl who found the journal of someone who had seen the Secret briefly before his ship was sunk by it."
"So it was just an artist rendering." Garin surmised with a nod.
"Yup." Mat finished swallowing another mouthful. "So, I went to
Voyage of the Secret: Part 1"We're not gonna find anything down here, Garin. Lets go back." Jacques grumbled, ducking under a large stalactite that hung down from the cave ceiling.
"Just a few more minutes, mates, I promise!" Garin said, ahead of the group.
"That's what you said an hour ago…"
Garin had convinced his crew that searching a small set of caves on one side of Mystery Island would be a good idea, though Jacques was a bit uneasy about being inside the caves. There were many stories about the caves being unstable and prone to collapses…
"Garin, we really should be headed back, there's nothing here!" he said and Garin looked at him, then sighed in annoyance.
"Alright, alright, you win!" he said, then turned back.
"Thank you!" Jacques said in exasperation and turned as well. Talak sighed and slid down from a rock to follow, but as he stepped down, he heard a few stones moving. He yelped and ducked, thinking it was a cave in, causing Jacques and Garin to stop and look at him in confusion.
"Talak what are yo
A Devil's Bite"October 31st, such a weird day " Jersey Devil thought to himself as he flew over the city, looking down as Main Street slowly became a small fair ground. He angled his wings and landed on the roof of one of the buildings, before dropping down into the alley below and walking out into the street.
"Still, I promised to meet Serena here " Jersey paused in his thoughts and smiled. "Wow, she and I have only known each other for a couple of months and already I feel like we've been good friends forever. I guess it's nice to know I'm not the only odd-ball in this town or at least not the only one who's not crazy."
Jersey looked around for Serena as he walked. "I sure hope Knarf doesn't try anything tonight. Serena sure seemed excited about this carnival, even if it does look a bit dull."
"JD!" called a female voice. Jersey looked over and saw Serena running over to him, wearing a blue kimono and carrying a matching fan. He smiled and waved as she came to a stop just in front

RPS: Girl Trouble..."Lets go, girls!" Sasha called to the girls behind her as they walked down the gangplank. Ann watched them disembark with a smile. Marina looked back at her.
"Aren't you coming, Ann?" she asked. Ann shook her head.
"Nah, you girls go on ahead. I'll catch up to you later," she said. Marina nodded and followed the rest of the girls. Ann smiled to herself, then disembarked the ship herself, but not following her crew. Instead she went on alone, along the coast, taking off her boots to let her feet sink into the cool sand of the night air. She took a deep breath and sighed as she walked, humming a soft Spanish lullaby.
"Stood a maiden at her window,
Sadly gazing out to sea.
Pale her cheek, her heart hung heavy,
Sorrowful her melody,
My love is far from me.
The evening yields it's light,
A star awaits the night.
And the wind brings back an echo,
Faintly from across the sea,
Carries home her melody,
My love is far from me."
She had always liked that song. Her father had taught it to h
