Description
This is Farmer John, the mortal that John stole his name from. He was the most normal, stereotypical medieval peasant farmer possible. John was incredibly jealous of him because he was very well liked in the community just for being friendly and cheerful and hardworking and throwing really good parties on the holidays. Eventually, John stole his name in a desperate attempt to get the other mortals to like him as much as they did Farmer John. It did not work.
He's been dead for millennia by the time the story starts and will probably never even be mentioned, but I like thinking about the fact that he existed once anyway. He probably had a daughter who played the violin or something.
I don't know yet if he died of natural causes or if John killed him in a fit of rage. I don't know if John had it in him to kill back then. He definitely does now, but he didn't always. If he did kill Farmer John, he was probably one of his first victims, if not the first.
