'eyyy, finally got around to coloring this drawing from two weeks ago. :phew:

The step-by-step over those two weeks. (I'm thinking in the future I won't rely so heavily on line drawings for my paintings, and just try to let the tablet do all the work.)

Dedicated to ~sweet-suzume, who's thoughts and writings move me to create even when I'm at my slumpiest, art-wise ~^

The detailing in this is amazing.  Makes me yearn to be there!

Thanks, that's kind of the goal of the illustration. ;)

Looking great! Although, I have to admit I like the sketch more, maybe it's because one can see more details clearly, here most of the picture is filled with darker colours.

Thanks...! I agree with you there; I was a little annoyed with how much of my sketch was hidden by the lighting situation, but I wanted the narrative of the colored illustration to be on the characters and less on every single little thing. :nod: (All the more reason to keep the sketch around too!)

p.s. love your icon! I'm rather fond of that painting.

Ahhhhh, I'm just too freakin' floored to even know here to start on this, jeez~ ;-; The colors absolutely bring those lines to life though, good lord! The lighting is absolutely superb, and the blurred objects up close do an absolutely terrific job of pushing not only a sene of depth but somehow also a sense of MOVEMENT to this piece, like a still from a movie, that I just seriously can't get over. A-And that awesome object on the far left, MAN that just caught my eye, holy hell~ *_*
You've outdone yourself yet again, man!

Far left? :S What were you referring to?

A small part of me wants to un-blur the foreground; just because you never see any of the godly artists of the world doing that, unless it's an X-treem action shot. ^^;

Th-The globe-y thing with the bright burnished core! I'm not sure what it is but it just looks soooo cool~ ♥

I still think the touch of blur looks fine! The specks of light/sparks around the center lamp have that touch of blur that freezes them mid-motion, so it really feels like a movie still to me. C:

Holy moley! :noes:

I saw the sketch of this and that was pretty mind-blowing, but this is on a whole other level. Once again you blow me away with your attention to the smallest detail. This is amazing! :la:

Fanks...! :B

.................i feel like i'm going to go back and fix this; portfolio pieces always get doubly-extra attention. ^~;

Now this, this is cool. I'm particularly liking the intricate scroll work around and above the door for some reason...

...and of course, per usual, you're using a combination of lighting and detail to draw the viewer's attention where you want it. I'll admit I had to remind myself to go and take a look everywhere else :P

:iconjustasplannedplz: ... originally it was going to be much darker along the outer edges. XD;

Solid work, as usual. While it's too bad that you lost all that extra pencil work, the overall picture is great! I really like your use of light and shadow in this image (especially to center the two figures in place and create mood).

Thanks~! (I feel like the pencil version existed in its own comic-y world where perspective wasn't as important as it is here...)

Stupendously sweet coloring. All the elements really pop out with such well defined focused lighting.:)
