My Bio
I'm definitely no artist.

I was born a few years before the first moon landing - I don't remember it although I was old enough to draw crayon pictures complete with lunar and command modules, space monsters, and cowboys with giant springs in their boots. That's probably still the best picture I've ever created.

When I was a kid I used to have an Action Man (the British version of the G.I. Joe action figure) and occasionally spent time setting up scenes with bricks and stones and twigs for him to have adventures in.

Today I'm an adult (although I know many people who'd question that). Instead of paper and crayons, or an Action Man with piles of mud and sticks and stones, I now have a computer, some clever software (Poser, Blender, DAZ Studio) and a content library.

But my mind is still the one that delights at the thought of cowboys with giant springs in their boots on the moon.

You'll also find me at ShareCG, RDNA, Renderosity, DAZ3D, HiveWire3D, and maybe a couple of other places - I'm user 3dcheapskate wherever I go (so far), and at any time I'm usually active at one or other of these places.

I also have a website ( unrealimperfect.com/ ) and blog ( 3dcheapskate.blogspot.com/ ) although I hardly ever seem to touch them.

Stupas up in har:

A Bike Meetup Begins To Assemble by luqu

You've totally lost me with that ! ?  Although I assume there might be some atrocious pun involved ?

P.S. Tucked away in the readme for those stupas it says (referring specifically to the texture) "Please feel free to use them in any respectful way". I've now added a note to the download page - but I've included "Retrospective changes to existing pictures are NOT required, or even requested. :)",  so no worries. Totally my fault for not making it more clear - after all, we all know that nobody actually reads readmes ! :) )

I apologize for using your model in a disrespectful way. I was not aware it was disrespectful.

In fact, I am still wondering why it is disrespectful. Can you tell me?

Is it the re-texturing to metal?

Is it the placement into a scene that also features an erotic nude woman?

Is it the placement into a scene that fails to glorify Buddhism?

What exactly you mean by requiring use in a respectful way may also need clarification in the readme.
As I said, no problem. Totally my fault. :)

Aye, 'tis indeed the juxtaposition with a naked woman on a bicycle !

It doesn't bother me. It's more a case of what the original creator of that specific image meant (the "Please feel free to use them in any respectful way" was theirs). When I saw your picture I vaguely recollected that the Buddha eyes image I'd used for the 'painted' texture had some usage conditions, so I simply double-checked.

P.S. Is "Stupas up in har" an atrocious pun ?

Happy birthday!  :cake:  Love your stuff!
Un-birthday to be precise !
Thanks, and apologies for the dearth of pictures recently - at present I seem to be putting all my creative talent into thinking up stupid book titles...
Happy Birthday.
