Moby Dick, Ship Graveyard Keyframe Concept
This is an image that is part of a fun project I'm doing with my students. We are re-imagining the story of Moby Dick. This was part of my take on it. Whenever the whale/creature breeches the surface it creates gigantic glaciers impaling ships leaving shocking graveyards in its wake.
I used 3D coat for a quick 3D base to work off of and the rest was in Photoshop.

Alecti Ward, The Moon's Chosen
Alecti was a vampire who by all rights, should never have become the monster he is now. As a child, his body was plagued with a chronic malady that took many lives of other children of Purgareth. While he survived, his body did not emerge unscathed, as the malicious disease claimed one his arms. Later years were just as callous. Body in tatters, his mind on the brink and his family unable to care for him, Alecti was left to die in the Woods of the Entombed. That night the moon hung high, and as he laid in the brush ready to face death, to end the pain of his life, he heard a voice. " Do you wish to die, little one? To embrace the abyss? To forfeit all your potential?" An almost soothing breeze swept the landscape. "Oh yes, I see great things in you. And I can give them to you. But you must give me something in return little one." Alecti, barely able to produce more than a whisper replied, "What do you ask of me?" "Everything." Knowing with certainty that fate brought him to this moment, all the suffering, all the loss, Alecti opened his mouth to utter a single predestined word. "Yes."

Fumus, The Red Inferno
Fumus, the Red Inferno. Cunning and elusive, the vampires tirelessly hunt for this powerful creature. His breath is said to be so hot, so violent that it can lay west to entire cities, and his fiery children can be seen burning strong for days.

Magnus Winters, The Patron
Magnus Winters carried a presence enthralling to all those around him. He was a philanthropist, a pillar of his community, even through the blight of scourges and monsters. He collaborated with Archimedes, in an attempt to decipher the clues that might uncover the catalyst to the rifts that plague Purgareth. To this day, he is the only one to have entered a rift and return whole to recount their expedition. Very little is known of Magnus' past. Born to a wealthy Noble family, most knowledge of his upbringing is left to speculation. Some guess there is a murky purpose veiled behind the grand bravado of his persona, but only those within his intimate circle could divulge such best keep secrets.
