F-Zero X

This is every character from F-Zero X! Without these characters I don’t think I would give F-Zero a second glance.

F-Zero is a futuristic racing game. Since the first game on the SNES they decided to include comic-book style spandex-clad Superheroes as the racers, and in F-Zero X (the Nintendo 64 sequel) they went from 4 characters to 30! The characters range from stupid to absolutely ridiculous and that’s why I love them! Nothing is taken seriously.

This illustration was made for the Awesome-Games-Done-Quickly 2014 (AGDQ) event, which hopes to raise money for the Prevent Cancer Foundation. I will be offering a print of this to the event, so if you want a large print make sure you donate!

Back to F-Zero… My favourite story is Roger Buster (Row 4, Column 6) who is a delivery man. No one was around to collect his shipment of an F-Zero car and there was no return address… So he takes part in F-Zero races in hope that the car is recognised by the owner. GENIUS.
