So, as some of you may know I switched to Manga Studio for digital inking (thanks to TracyWong ) a little while back, instead of Illustrator and I was very pleased with the results both in how much time it took to ink something and how much better the inks looked. Well, Recently I decided to go back and ink something that I had already inked in Illustrator with Manga Studio and then compare the two side by side. Here's the result.
In my opinion the manga studio version has a lot more life to it, whereas I feel that The Illustrator version looked a bit stiff. Manga studios receives pen pressure input from your tablet, Illustrator does not. With no line weight variation, it looks like it was inked by a computer, but with Manga, it looks as if it was actually inked traditionally (or as close as one can get).
As far as time goes, Manga studios takes half the time to ink the same image as Illustrator
