Anyway . ALIEN is one of my all time favorites .
and I remember ( back in 1979) when I saw the movie , the way the creature looked at the cat and did nothing to him.

The reason why Big Chap did not kill Jonesy, was because for him, the cat was very cute and adorable, therefore he did not deserve to die, also, the cat hisses like him, Big Chap and Jones became friends since the two of them they can hisses.
