:bulletwhite: This is my first picture since............well forever XD
:bulletblue:The backgrounds is kind of booboo so I'm going to work harder at my backgrounds.
:bulletwhite: This was a pretty old sketch that I colored and line art and I haven't worked with gimp for like months so this was a good picture to ease back into it.
:bulletblue: characters: Genevieve Elit

It good to see something from you though :) I always love your shading. Maybe if you want it to be better, then you can try shading darker or adding a second darker shading above the first. You put some darker shading on dress so try that on hair and skin. Pilot mentioned the eye already P: don't worry a lot of people struggle with faces too, just keep working at it :> I bet your newer art would look so much better !

Hi!! I love the concept of this picture and the color choices! But there are a few anatomical issues you could work on. You said you drew this 3-4 months ago, so maybe you already recognize the issues, but I'll just throw in my two cents.

The hand coming towards us looks a bit odd. I don't think the thumb can be posed that far down. I tried, and I couldn't get it to work, but my fingers are not flexible at all... so maybe someone else could do that. I think if you moved the thumb up so it kind of covers the arm, it would work better. Also, I can tell you were doing perspective with the arm coming towards us, but her forearm should be a bit bigger. Right now, it looks like you drew her arm, then added the bigger hand over top to make it look like you foreshortened it. The only other huge issue I have with the anatomy is probably the face. Or, more specifically, the eye. One eye appears higher than the other. It's really nitpicky, but if you flip your art horizontally on gimp, you should be able to see it looks a bit weird. (That's how I pick out the nitpicky things in my pieces.)

Other than that, I like the lineart because it's nice and crisp. Her dress design is pretty too! And I really love the way you drew the hair. The flips look really good. I personally really like the background, however, I feel it would change the places of the shadows on her body.
I think her shading would be more like number five in this example: www.deviantart.com/art/Facial-…
It would be a really hard thing to shade, but it would be really effective.

And I should also add that I like the way you drew her face. It gives her character. Nice job with this piece! It's nice to see more work from you because I love your stuff! If there's any other opinions you want from me that I may not have covered, just let me know and I'll throw in my thoughts.

Yeah, you've definitely improved a lot in the last 3-4 months.
It's a piece I would want to finish too!
And you're welcome!

I'm glad it's helpful. I couldn't find one for bodies, but I'm sure you can do some digging and find it.
