THROUGH PRECEPTS GET UNDERSTANDING

Isa_28:10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:

Psa_119:104 Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.

Bible laws!: [link]

We are going to look into the issues of KEEPING THE LAWS of the Bible.

This subject is an issue because there are many so called churches that teach we don't have to keep the Laws because of the fact that "we are under grace".

QUESTIONS:

Does your church teach that we don't have to keep the laws of the bible?

Have the Laws of the bible been done away with?

Does being under grace mean that we don't have to keep the laws?

How do we show TMH that we love him?

Are there laws we don't keep?
■Why is it important to keep the laws?

1Jn 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law:

for sin is the transgression of the law.

( Sin is breaking the law ) Why do so many churches/pastors teach that we don't have to keep the Laws and that the old testament is now void? I could make a note on answering that very question, Let's stick to the scrip.

Hos 4:6 My people are destroyed for (lack of knowledge): because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

Mal 2:7 For the priest's lips (should keep knowledge), and they (should seek the law) at his mouth: for he is the messenger of the LORD of hosts.

Mal 2:8 But ye are departed out of the way; ye have (caused many to stumble at the law); ye have corrupted the covenant of Levi, saith the LORD of hosts.

Mal 2:9 Therefore have I also made you contemptible and base before all the people, according as ye (have not kept my ways), but (have been partial in the law).

Keeping just the law only doesn't make you righteous. Keeping the law is a sign that you are walking in righteousness. Many people kept the law, But their hearts weren't right. Faith in Christ + the law = righteousness,

Christ + the law is Truth.

Joh 8:31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;

Joh 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

( so in order to be free, we must know the truth. What is the truth? )

Psa 119:142 Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness,

and thy (law is the truth).

Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, (I am the way, the truth), and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Rev 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that

(keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Christ).

( Again, many people have been deceived into thinking that the law has been done away with. The Law is the Truth and Christ is the truth. Christ was teaching the LAWS out of the old testament.)

If you have not been taught that "Christ" and "god: are separate.

Please read my other note titled: "Christ and The Most high are separate".

Christ says:

Joh 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

Mat 5:17 Think (not) that I am come to destroy the law, or the (prophets):

I am (not come to destroy), but to fulfil.

Mat 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle (shall in no wise pass from the law), till all be fulfilled.

Joh 6:38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will,

but the will of him that sent me.

What is the Will of "GOD" ? To love him and Keep his commandments ! !

Mat 15:8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.

Mat 15:9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

(So, just saying that you love "God" with your mouth and believing in him will not get you into the Kingdom or eternal life, that is just a mandatory requirement. ) I have heard it many times; "god knows my heart" . We can not put our hearts in the Bible , we must put the Bible in our hearts. Let's see what the Bible says about our hearts.

Jer 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it ?

Jer 17:10 I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man (according to his ways), and (according to the fruit of his doings).

(You will not be rewarded according to your HEART, but by your DEEDS (ways/doings)

How do we know if we love "God"?

Mat 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he (that (doeth) the will of my Father) which is in heaven.

Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, (I never knew you): depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

1Jn 2:4 He that saith, (I know him ), and (keepeth not his commandments), is a liar, and (the truth is not in him).

1Jn 5:2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and (keep his commandments).

1Jn 5:3 For this is the love of God, (that we keep his commandments): and his commandments are not grievous.

Luk 6:46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

Joh 4:22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.

Joh 4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

Joh 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

(the truth is that we keep his laws and follow the Bible and not our Hearts)

Rom 10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

Rom 3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

QUESTIONS:

What laws do we keep?

What Laws did Christ put and end to?

What is righteousness?

Keeping just the law only doesn't make you righteous. Keeping the law is a sign that you are walking in righteousness. Many people kept the law, But their hearts weren't right. (Faith in Christ + the law = righteousness),

Christ + the law is Truth.

Mat 5:20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

(Righteousness was Judged according to the LAW and the pharisees were not right in their hearts,

though they kept the laws)

Mat 5:21 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:

Mat 5:22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

(do you see the difference between now and then?) I will explain further..

Pro 28:4,9

They that forsake the law praise the wicked: but such as keep the law contend with them.

9. He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.

Rom 6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?

Rom 6:2 (God forbid). How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

Rom 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

Rom 6:15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid (NO).

Let me give you an example of how we are under grace now ,

but we still are to live " by the law ".

Example:

you steal a car

and resist arrest

when you go to court you will be Judged by the LAWS you broke!

You have been found guilty of grand theft auto

you have been found guilty of resisting arrest

you have now falling UNDER the LAW

when released from prison you are no longer UNDER the LAW... But you still have to live BY the LAW!

What laws do we and do we not keep?

(Paul's writings can be somewhat confusing, but he spoke of not having to abide by the SACRIFICIAL LAW.

According to the old covenant, sacrificing Animals what a part of the Law to cover sins. And because "God's" people fell from the old covenant Christ would come to be that lamb with out blemish to cover the sins of the people. But in no way does this mean that the whole Law was done away with, ONLY the LAW of Sacrificing animals)

Dan 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week (he shall cause the (sacrifice and the oblation to (cease), and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

Heb 10:1 For the law having a (shadow) of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those (sacrifices) which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.

(the old sacrificial law would only be a shadow of what christ would come and do. A man could not be made perfect by the sacrificial law)

Heb 10:2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the (worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins).

Heb 10:4 For it is (not) possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should (take away sins).

Heb 10:5 Wherefore when (he cometh) into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a (body hast thou prepared me):

Heb 10:6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure.

Heb 10:7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.

Heb 10:8 Above when he said, (Sacrifice and offering) and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are (offered by the law);

Heb 10:9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. (He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second).

Heb 10:10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

Gal 3:10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.

Gal 3:11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.

Gal 3:12 And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.

Gal 3:13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

(so, because Christ was hung and was sacrificed for us no longer do we have to be Hung or stoned for not following the Law.) We are under grace, but we still must live by the law. Because in those days, a person would be stoned or hung (judge on the spot). We no longer are to execute judgment upon another. Judgment belongs to the Most High. So you can sin if you want to, but you will have to face judgment eventually.

(So, no longer do we get Judged on the spot (stoned to death or Hung) for breaking his LAWs. Grace now gives us a chance to Change and Repent from our wicked ways and establish the law which was given to us) It's really not that difficult to understand, when you step back and asses it.)

But grace is only for a period of time (a grace period) Just like how your credit card companies give you a grace period to pay up.

Heb 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, (there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins),

( So we cannot sin over and over again and think because we are under grace we will be saved)

Pro 4:2 For I give you good doctrine, forsake ye not my law.

There was nothing wrong with the law, the problem was the people.

How did he fix that problem? By giving grace unto his people.

TALK ABOUT LOVE!!!!

Psa 19:7 The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.

Heb 7:19 For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God. (so the law was perfect, but the people were not. Even unto this day)

Heb 8:8 For (finding fault with (them), he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:

Heb 8:9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.

Heb 8:10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:

(The Most High, never changed the law, he changed the methods of receiving the law. No longer is it written in stone, it is now written in our hearts. See, when it was written in stone, people did it because they HAD TO. But now we do it because we love The Most High and follow after his son who Preached to keep the LAW.)

Understand that time and time again; "God's" chosen people were disobedient, rebellious towards the Most High and they fell from the Covenant because of it . BUT...............

Rom 11:11 I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy.

So, the other nations (gentiles), they didn't need redemption. They were already on top because of Israel's fall.

Israel needed redemption.

But, the people that broke the old covenant (Israel), needed a sacrifice because the law of sacrifice was part of their law. Those laws never pertained to the other nations. Christ came to redeem them that were under the law. The Most high put (Israel) away , so we needed to be Adopted Back. Israel was divorced from the Most high.

Gal 4:4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, (made under the law),

Gal 4:5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.

Jer 3:1 They say, If a man put away his wife, and she go from him, and become another man's, shall he return unto her again? shall not that land be greatly polluted? but thou hast played the harlot with many lovers; yet return again to me, saith the LORD.

Jeremiah 31:31:

Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Hebrews 8:8: For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:

Heb 8:10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:

The confusion is mostly from Paul's writings. But the problem is how they are TAUGHT.

2Pe 3:15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;

2Pe 3:16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

LAST QUESTION:

Will you follow the bible or your preacher?

Mal 2:7 For the priest's lips (should keep knowledge), and they (should seek the law) at his mouth: for he is the messenger of the LORD of hosts.

Mal 2:8 But ye are departed out of the way; ye have

(caused many to stumble at the law);

ye have corrupted the covenant of Levi, saith the LORD of hosts.

Mal 2:9 Therefore have I also made you contemptible and base before all the people, according as ye have not kept my ways, but (have been partial in the law).

Eph 5:6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of (disobedience.)

Eph 5:10 Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.

1Jn 3:7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that (doeth) righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.

1Jn 3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

1Jn 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

1Jn 3:10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: (whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God), neither he that loveth not his brother.

Mat 24:4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

Mat 24:5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
