She simply was, was once nothing, was created and was Lilith. She knew this to be true when she drew her first breath, just as she knew the man next to her was Adam, and was like her in every way and also somehow her opposite. She knew that she was woman and he was man, and they were both children of the creator of all things. And she knew the voice that spoke to her and Adam was the voice of that creator when they rose from the ground and she was greeted with an intense light, a light that did not pierce the eyes, but shone off them and engulfed all in its glow.
He spoke to them both. He told them what they already knew, their names, that they were the first of their kind and that they were not only His creation, as all things were, but His children and that He loved them as such. They found that, they loved Him too, wanted only to bask in His love and show Him how much they felt this at all times. He told them of how He had created the grass that cooled their bare feet, the soil beneath it and the earth under that. The trees that reached into the air, the clouds, sun and moon and the skies beyond that. He told them He had done all this for them because He loved them, and this made them love Him even more.
He told them He must leave them to attend to His own home, but He would always be there whenever they called on Him and would keep watch over them at all times. His presence dissipated, but never quite left entirely, as He said, He was still there, just somewhere else at the same time. Lilith found the feeling of love that had once consumed her had now faded, and now felt more like a memory. She felt somehow empty inside. She wondered if Adam felt the same, she was about to ask him, but when she turned her head to look at him she found his eyes already staring into hers, taking in everything she was.
She felt the emptiness in her stomach fade and felt warmth run through her, it was like the love she had felt for Him, but not, this feeling was smaller, but more collected and concentrated at the man in front of her. It was not all consuming and less overbearing then His love. When she stood in His presence she felt as though to love Him was to breath, was to exist and her name meant nothing to her. This feeling for Adam however, felt as though she was still Lilith, still felt herself, but wanted to feel only him.
They crashed into each other and intertwined themselves with one another. She wasnt really sure what it was they were doing, her body led her through what she felt was right, as did his. She did know it felt good, her stomach burned with a prickling heat that was the want for more, and she called out for it. They rolled and over each other and soon Adam found his place above her, it was then that she was about to continue their tossing and turning when he became one with her and all other thought was erased from her mind.
Time passed, not that it was recorded though; night and day were just contrasting shades in an endless existence to Lilith and Adam. God had ordained them husband and wife, he had explained that this meant they were partners and both had individual roles to serve. He told them the thing they had done after their creation had consummated their partnership and was an expression of their affection for one another. He told Lilith that it would one day bring forth her children, though He would not yet allow this to happen for He felt it was not time.
While she enjoyed having a tidal, this whole concept confused Lilith quite a bit. She didnt quite understand why she needed the title of wife or Adam needed that of husband. Adam seemed to love his title, saying it gave him a purpose and a role. While she could see what he was saying, she didnt understand how exactly it changed anything after a while. She was still Lilith and he was still Adam and adding wife of Adam to the end of her name didnt seem to change or confirm any great truths to her life it did him.
