I opening own homepage with my arts. It's named "conned OS".
Maybe everyone have been create such unique pages to show your art, literature, game, thought, and any your outputs.
This homepage is called "Kojin-Site(個人サイト)", it meaning "Personal website".
But not only in Japan, such website showing arts and every outputs by each creator exists internationally on internet.
I introduce the unique tradition and construction of Kojin-Site in Japan.
I will explain some unique things in Japanese Kojin-Site simply.

Simple greeting page in index.html
After access my website's link, my home shows simple title page with a few description and update information.
This page is like a "Gate/Door" in the home, I only put update information to visitor. Some creator write attentions about bloody/sexual content that visitor will watch.
As other description, types of art will be written here. ex: "Drawing mainly" "Original literature" "Fanmade video"...
This page should be simple, and must be able to be visited anytime. When visitor finds 404 in somewhere on domain, visitor checks domain root at first, to check if the creator doesn't close down the whole website.
index.html is most important page to Kojin-Site.
Banner & Bookmark
Banner is small picture sized in 200x40 pixels.
Creator doesn't use this picture. Put simply into profile page.
But if someone other creator who has Kojin-Site visits my home, and they might like this place, this banner will be used.
On my website's link page, I put many banners from many creator's website.
This page is called "Bookmark", works like bookmark function in your browser.
Many creators make this page to make creator's connection and community.
Visitor click this banner to visit other creator's website. And check bookmark page and click someone's banner in that website, and visit... click, visit, click..... You will find many artists without googling.
This exploring is called "個人サイトめぐり(Kojin-Site tour)".
Webclap
Webclap is "Like" button in Kojin-Site.
Creator can put webclap in anywhere. I put it every artwork page to use webclap as Like button. Some creator takes and puts webclap as "visitor's simple greet" button.
Creator can check counts times of clapped in webclap service. Webclap provides a feature like Twitter's "Like" and dA's "Favorite", but clear difference is... webclap is free to set and remove.

Paste other creator's banner to show your favorite creator, and make connection of creators.img [folder]

Put pictures that will be shown as artwork.
Unlimited Customization
Every Kojin-Site has unique design. Simple, gorgeous, horror, fancy, cool... To tell own style and interest to visitor, page designing is important as much as contents. Every social networking service can't provide such range of customization. I think this is powerful feature of Kojin-Site.
I made my website with html, css, javascript to get full customizations. Learning all of them is spends many time, but there are many services to create your website without skill now. Make your basic website from here, and customize to your style.
Show your Home
At the end, Kojin-Site needs to be advertised by you.
If you have an account of any service, introduce your home in status update, tweet, and bio.

Kojin-Site thrived in 2000 in Japan, but now, this culture faded because it's beaten by useful SNS.
Kojin-Site is little difficult to make, so everyone will chose create account into dA, twitter, Pixiv, Artstation... to show your works easily.
But Kojin-Site is powerful place. It don't get any unnecessary changes from administration team. And it can express your everything with whole page, not only contents.
This page will be the place to creator and visitor meet directly.
I hope this culture be popular again.
