i love drawing cody and sam together because its very therapeutic for cody to beat sam's ass 
i feel like their relationship represents a lot of my personal struggles and fears, especially my struggle with father figures,,

sam was a horrid caregiver to cody due to his wicked morality and the demanding wishes of a god he couldn't turn away from,
and cody was the unfortunate victim of the god's plans. but he escaped and was able to embrace himself and live his own life, 
proving to sam that he was way stronger than he could have ever anticipated.
