Inspired by a photo (and life itself sometimes
First time I dare publishing a render with PlantFactory assets. Though I don't have much time to learn the software, I'm starting to get a hang of it, and now I love it more than hate it
...no, it's a wonderful tool, just extremely complex, and I'd love to dig deeper into its functionalities. Although, even if your learning pace is slower, you can still create almost any kind of plant you want (in all shapes and sizes) with some basic operations only. Of course, the more you know, the more options you discover in TPF. ...plus, these ones rendered fast (relatively).
The scene was built and rendered in VUE 2016 xStream R2, the rocks are a combination of Cliffhangers 2 and my doodling in ZBrush. The textures were made by me, they're hybrid as usual. I love the AO maps coming with Cliffhangers 2; I could use them for using a darker mossy texture in the deeper areas/cracks (Thanks, Mark!).
Enhancements (including adding a tiny bit stronger rays) were done in PS and Filter Forge.
