It's been a long time since my last journal and I've got a lot more watchers to my site now...thank you to all that come to visit and enjoy my art! So I figured I'd take a minute to explain why I use the name 007Fanatic. Well, quite simply, I'm a HUGE fan of the James Bond Franchise...from the original Ian Flemming books, through the original Sean Connery movies, the John Gardner and Raymond Benson novels, and up through the current generation of Daniel Craig. Sure, Roger Moore was kind of campy and brought a completely different style than Connery...and Craig is much more serious, lacking the light-hearted nature of Moore...but all brought their own unique flavor to the franchise and I loved them all with Pierce Brosnan probably being my favorite Bond.
So where are the James Bond pics and stories???? Well, when I started with DAZ Studio several years ago, my intent was to make pictures to go along with short stories. In my Bond universe, everything is larger than life, much like the earlier movies...money was no object, especially to the villains, they drove the fastest and most expensive cars, stayed in the most luxurious locations, flew around in private jets, and cruised around on private yachts. And then of course there is the 'Bond Girl'...like many other's I'd guess, the Bond Girl shaped my definition of sex appeal from a young age. Incredibly beautiful, living a luxurious life, countless minions at her beck and call...my only issue was these beautiful and powerful women were always under the thumb of some maniacal major villain...why weren't the WOMEN at the center of power? Well, in my Bond universe they are...
At a minimum, my Bond Girls are on an equal level with any males...in most cases, they are far superior. They are beautiful, sexy, powerful, wealthy...they use men (and other women) to do their bidding...they are larger than life and irresistible!
So the plan is to write some more short stories to go along with my pics...but my time is limited and right now, I enjoy creating the art more than writing. But every now and then the mood catches me and I write.
So I'm honored that others find my work good enough to make requests and commissions. However, my time is limited and I use this art to unwind from my real life job, responsibilities, etc. I have found that doing requests, trying to make other people's visions a reality, doesn't relieve any stress or allow me to escape, it turns into another job in a way and so I do not take requests or commissions at this time...perhaps that will change in the future, I'll let you know. I'll gladly take suggestions because then there is no commitment or timeline attached to it.
