And let thy feet... by 0042 And let thy feet... by 0042
This is probably one of the best quotes to summarise the British museum- thousands of years of history and knowledge, on show to the public and accessible by everyone.

I love how the BM, and many other museums in London offer free entry, which enables everyone to go and visit and to learn, rather than having them constrained by money. There's always such a mix of people there, from tourists to families to students to old couples.

Anyway, taken at the British Museum, London, some time ago.

I'm now intrigued. Will probably drag my friends there instead of shopping on Oxford street. (as if i had money anyway)

i think that pics amazin!
I love how it looks like nobody around even sees the message as if it's not really there but when you read it you get the sense that some guy is saying it and is really happy with himself and everyone there is completely oblivious to him.

Sorry might be reading a little too much but yeah, awesome pic!

Thanks a lot. It's far more noticeable from the small balcony where I was standing than on floor level, certainly.

Woah it's actually on the ground? Sexay.

Our museums have okay free entry if you're a) a student, b) a child under 12 or c) have a library card. But I think that's just for the fine arts museum. oO

Yeah, it's on the marble somehow. I think it may be embossed, but that may not be the right word.

Small museums almost always charge, as they don't have government funding and large donations.

...hey, now. Just because our museum is not in London doesn't mean it's small. Houston's the 4th largest city in the US. Anyway I THINK the government runs the museums, but our government is awesome like that.

Just Google "Houston museum". Because I'm too tired to. D<

I agree

Having museums etc free is really awesome ^^ It means we can go visit them without too much bother with how many we go to

We're taking my brother & his friends to London for his birthday & it's great coz lots of stuff is either free or really cheap :)

Well, it's either really cheap, or really expensive! ;P

What are you doing while you're there? The main sites and stuff?

lol yes lol

lol I dunno

I think we're going to the imperial war museum & maybe go up the monument. Although one of matt's friend might not want to go all the way up there so I said i'd wait with him.
