I am going through a minimalist phase....
i always seem to return to exploration of basic shape, form and simple, yet effective color palettes.
This is actually for my commercial portfolio.
Do you know what it is?
Oh, and since i am a macro-lover, i am quite sad this category has disappeared...boo hoo.
very nicely composed.. I love the focus on the front lines and the blur around the background I love how smooth it looks.. the lighting catches parts the fabric very wonderfully, making it look so touchable and so soft and delicate. It would definitely look wonderful in your commercial portofolio

I think it works well as a commercial photo if its for some sort of textile company....the DOF is great and i love how you have the fabric or whatever it is coming up almost verticle in the back (and out of focus)
I also like how you made the plane of focus not parallel with the rows of ...uh fabric thingies
I wonder how this would look with some harder toning ...maybe a blue tone?
funny...i have a harder toned blue one that i think looks very nice as welll...but my mood is dictating soft minimalism now.....
thanks for the suggestion though.
Yes, that saddened me too
I have NO clue what it is, but it looks great. I love how you can see all little details in.. well whatever it is, and I love the light shades of color
It looks very soothing

excellent, depth of field is fantastic, great use of it, the lighting setup is great to, which gives it its amazing tones.. ah, great stuff. would be a welcome addition to any portfolio.
no macro catagory... "but its a technique..." eh. i agree with you.
