Description

This large female Crab Spider of the genus Xysticus was on the aluminum weather stripping around the door tonight, eating an insect she'd just caught. The big question is: WTH are those two yellow rods sticking out of her butt? I thought that they were strands of webbing, illuminated by the flash, at first, but they are too high up on her abdoment. Parasites of some sort, maybe? I've never seen anything like that!

These really do look like "Headcrabs" out of the Half Life series, i think that's amazing, that you learn stuff like that.
