The Magician

Whereever the Way comes in
I will await it

There, by the great gates
That embrace the Citadel.
I am Beth, the house

I am the Magus
Whose art cherishes all life,
In the world’s furnace

All that is pure, good
Flows outwards from my workshop
Sustaining all life,

My art has no bounds,
Eternal and unblemished
As ascendant clouds

That doth rise from seas
Leaving behind the vile crust
Of bitter grey salt

Sweeping ‘cross the earth,
Seeding it; nourishing it;
Consecrating it

With the mark of God.
