Xel-Zel Amythyst Dawn

Okay... so the title doesn't make any bloody sense.

But sometimes it's nessicery to go back to one's routes. And these are mine. My first Yaoi fan pairing. I just wanted to see if I could still draw Slayers, and I still can. Better, I believe, than when that was all I drew. It's just been so long since I last drew these guys.

Man, I remember back in highschool.. when I was drawing Zel/Xel art all the time, I actually submited some of those to a Xel/Zel couple webshrine. It was so funny. The Webmistress rejected me because my pictures were "too cartoony" Not because they were bad (which they were) but because my renditions of these cartoon characters was too cartoony Makes me laugh every time I think about it. I also found it funny, that she got mad at the implication that Zelgadis and Xellos might be gay, considering she was running a Zel/Xel couple shrine. Eh, but it takes all kinds right?

Anyway, On this picture, I tried out a different way of coloring. It should still look the same, more or less. Sort of takeing a different route to get to the same goal... But I'm pleased with the results all the same.
