Happy independence day, Finland! /o/
I sketched this a long time ago (as I told at the comment section of another nature related picture), but because of the lack of free time I only got to finish it yesterday. Which is a shame, because I really liked this pic, but now that I had to do it in a horry, it ended up looking messy and like I didn't even try my best with the lines. AGH! (Also, pretty much all my blue markers are terribly bright so it took forever to make this pic to look like the sky wasn't high on drugs.)
I would've scanned this when I made my new journal, but I thought that I didn't want to wake up my roommate (it WAS 2 am), soooo I'm just quickly submitting this while I drink coffee. (I slept in, isn't that a big surprise...)
Aaaannyhow. I could've drawn like.. sauna or something like that, but I just happen to like the Finnish nature the most, so... sue me. And though here is like.. Finland's national bird (whooper swan/laulujoutsen), national flower (or plant) (kielo/lily of the valley <---really, English, really?), I didn't want to draw brown bear (Finland's national animal), because it wouldn't have worked with the rest of the picture. So.. I drew the person a little moose-like instead (don't kill me, but to me moose is more Finland-like than a bear I've never seen in nature). (I also mixed some of the seasons, and those plants would never all be growing in the same place, but again: sue me. Art is abstract, your argument is invalid.)
All together, I hope you like it.
