A few days later Cricket chirps and frog croaks accompanied the main melody of a pen scratching away at paper. The soft glow of the lamp illuminated the room, giving plenty of light to Lillia as she looked over and fixed Rick’s mistakes to the accounts. After the last entry, she set her pen down and collected the papers up into a neat pile. Thoughts of her appointment the next morning drifted through her mind softly, giving a small distraction to her thoughts on rejecting Zack and her regrets and confusion over Rod.
