Ungrounded, floating on the whispers of a memory,
Secretly kindling the tantrums of one’s victory.
Faint yet chaotic render of pure rage tapping, striking,
A symphony of fire, a sonata of the land burning.
Hel is thy mistress, ruling the maddening underworld,
Leisure in your rotting vessel, a ritual for the undefeated Gods.
Hel, gazing upon your flesh, your tormented world.
Calling upon thy reclining faith from a river following the odds.
Yet still ungrounded, still balancing on the edge of a ripping tapestry.
An emblazing relic digging in your palm, between blood and atrophy,
Runic treasures and charms hidden under your broken armor,
Hailing her Cimmerian name, at last lifting the valiant Hammer.

Soft-spoken evidence, an opaque forthcoming,
Day after day, night after night.
Subsistence of an eternal, O so solitary being,
Roaming the air, scavenging an aeonian blight.
Longing for an ending to this perpetual state,
Hollowed, yet stained existence who knows no fatality,
Waiting for the bedding of oneself in the arms of faith,
The answer to this never-ending tragedy.
Come to me. Come to me, dear apogee.
Carry me to my kin, my darling souls with whom I parted ways.
For so long, the torment, the agony.
Lethality, I beg you to take me, I pray.
My sorrowful mind knows no rest,
A storm of imagery, a picturesque collision of souvenirs.
With this curse I once believed I was blessed,
Until my heart desired no more than the soft sting of a spear.

Stuffed With Love"Okay, mom, I'm heading off to the university! See you later tonight! Love you!"Stuffed With Love3 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
The mother of Courtney Van Haders leaned away from the sink, peeking out into the hallway just as her daughter closed the garage door behind her. She was only able to catch a glimpse of the younger woman's long, curly chocolate-brown hair. She heaved out a deep sigh.
Her beloved child was more than halfway through her junior year in college already. It wouldn't be too much longer before she would graduate, find herself a nice little job, and eventually move out of the house. The last thing she wanted was for her daughter, the oldest of her three children, to have to leave the family home. She wasn't always around at home to watch the boys or to take care of the house, and Courtney proved ample help in that regard as well. The money obtained from both her (the mother's) work and her husband's was more than enough to provide for Courtney and her two younger brothers Jacob and Steven. Courtney didn't need to
