Chapter 10: The Dojima resident
It was a nightmare. I struggled to forget the horror I experienced after fainting from last night. I was haunted by a nightmare; Yu-san and Yosuke-san pinned me down on a torture table while Kanji-san repeatedly whipped me with a nine-tail-whip. As for Teddie…huhuhuhu…I ought to do something to shake it off my mind. “What is the matter Hitori-san? You seem pale” Kanami-san asks. “I’m fine Kanami-san. I just experienced a worst nightmare” I answered as I leer at Yosuke-san with an evil smile. He shivers in fear, along with Kanji-san, Teddie-san and Yu-san.

Chapter 20 / Forward
December 10th, 2011 // Kayane's House
This was a much different celebration than maybe what it would have been before. Finally the fog that had covered the town was gone. They had found the truth of who had killed the first two victims. But they had also found that the one behind it had been someone that most of the Investigation Team had trusted. It resulted in a conflict of emotions. The one that appeared to be the most conflicted about this was Yu. I had known that it would be like this but still he was happy. I could see that it still really bothered him though...as the entire time he had stayed close to Yuki

Chapter 6: The Amagi Inn feast
The ring tune it was playing was Calystegia. Kanami-san reached out her cellphone from her pocket and pressed the green button. Teddie, Yosuke and I stood by as we waited for Kanami-san to finish her call. When she did, she seemed excited. “Don’t mind if I ask Kanami-chan, but who called you?” Teddie wonders. “Rise-chan. She invited me to have dinner with Yu-san and the others at Yukiko’s home” Kanami responds with a lovely smile. Then Yosuke’s cellphone played a notification sound. He picks up and checks. “Who’s it from Yosuke-kun?” Teddi

... September? ... 2011?
Slowly her senses started to report back her current situation.
She was on a hard, cold, smooth surface. Perhaps a concrete or metal floor.
The air felt both cool and clammy. Possibly a basement.
The illumination was dimmed, but it was not fully dark through her closed eyelids.
She heard beeps, clicks and humming in the background. Possibly the air conditioning unit of a larger building.
Her tongue seemed to have a metallic taste to it. Almost like earth ... or blood.
She felt no restrains, not on her hands, not on her feet.
The area around her mouth and nose felt unpleasant. Possibly a mild reaction to chloroform.

September 11th, 2011
Naoto woke an hour before dawn the day after their excursion.
Considering the state of her bed - a pillow on the floor; one pillow crumpled behind her; her sheets and blankets tangled - she must have had very animate dreams. However, as she blankly stared at the ceiling, she could not remember a single moment or image of what her night had brought. Possibly for the better.
She slowly pushed herself up into a seated position, running her hands over her face and through her hair. Her still-packed bag was discarded by the bedroom door. Her clothes strewn carelessly between door and bed. She had barely pulled on her pajama to

Chapter 5: Beary-good friend
The trip was long, but I didn’t mind. More importantly, is Kanami-san alright about walking all the way to Junes? I checked to see her condition. She seems fine, though I noticed some sweat running from her brown hair. As we arrive at Junes, Kanami-san appears to be so tired she wants to collapse. As we sat down on a bench I reached out my backpack and gave her a bottle of ice cold water. “Oh thank you Hitori-san” Kanami-san replied as she drank almost all of the water in one gulp. “So I guess this is your first time here, Kanami-san?” She nods as she looks around the sh

Chapter 8: An awkward moment
I watch as Yu-san, Yosuke-san, Kanji-san and Teddie-san got off the open-air bath. “Are you coming Hitori-san?” asked Yosuke-san. “You guys go on ahead. I’ll be out in 5 minutes” I answered “Okay Hitori-senpai. Don’t be late” Kanji smiled as they left. I continue to relax leaning on the wall behind my back before once again slowly drifting off to sleep. So this is what it feels like to be in an open bath. It’s like my comfy bed, but the water being my mattress. As I listen to the pouring water with my eyes shut, I hear some familiar female voices.

Chapter 7: The Open-air bath
Yu, along with the other guys, led us to the boys’ room where we would stay for the night. Even though it was smaller than the previous room, I was amazed to see how luxurious and tidy it was. Again, I sat beside Yu-san as I watch the rest of my friends have their own conversation. “Did you enjoy the feast?” Yu-san asked “Indeed I did. I also enjoyed the conversation with you and your friends. I was surprised when I realised I’m a year older than you.” I laughed. “Yu-senpai. Hitori-senpai. The hot spring is vacant. Why don’t we head over and have a bath

Okay, Shirogane, be careful what you wish upon people, because you may have jinxed Tatsumi.
The evening so far was not to her linking, really. She had no idea how to introduce herself into the conversation, as the topics seemed too flimsy to even try and contribute. She had been ushered to sit with Satonaka-senpai and Kujikawa-san. The latter of which kept trying to wrap herself all over Naoto. By now, she did not know what to do except physically pushing her co-student aside. Or maybe handcuffing her to the nearest table.
Several of the group seemed openly uncomfortable by the bizarre behavior of their friends as well. Both Satonaka and Hana

Chapter 3: Junes shopping
“So this is Junes.” My eye sparkles as I glimpse at the big “Junes” letter on the building. I ordered 2 plates of June’s steak and sat at a table. Could this be the most delicious steak? Without hesitation, I picked up my knife and fork, sliced up a piece of that juicy steak and popped it in my mouth. AAhhhh!!! It was delicious! The texture! The flavour! Its amazing! It wasn’t long before I finished 2 of my plates within a minute and a half. The steak was pure heaven. Now, what was I supposed to do next? Oh that’s right. Groceries. The supermarket is full of pe

Chapter 2: A clumsy friend
It took me a while to arrive at the apartment. Good thing my backback is my only luggage; it contains my pyjamas, some spare casual clothes, clean underwear, toothbrush and toothpaste. Inside my apartment room, it was more spacious than my room at home. There’s a comfy bed with a big empty bookshelf. That jet lag really screwed my mind. I collapsed in bed and look up at the ceiling for a moment before I slowly closed my eyes…my stomach started to rumble. “Really?!” Well, I guess it doesn’t hurt to head over to try out some of Inaba’s steak. Now what was that name of

How soon would the provoked reaction ensue, she wondered. Would it, even? So far she had not arrived at a conclusive point in her theory which would allow her to predict the next few days.
Naoto decided to be prepared either way and provide copious amounts of opportunity for the kidnapper/murderer to strike. Facilitating them needed to be balanced with protecting herself, of course, without being too inapproachable. Further, she needed to direct the flow of rumor. Showing herself in public today would solidify her work from last night.
After getting up, she spent some time depositing her gathered files into the living roo

The train ride was long, but even so, it didn’t stop me from being excited for a vacation at Japan. After hearing about Inaba being a popular location by my foster parents, I couldn’t help but wonder what it’s like to be there, as well as the food they serve. Hopefully this vacation is worth it. Hopefully my dog, Kazuki is okay. My first year of university really put a dent inside my skull. I want to forget about the pain. The pain I went through. I want to start fresh for next year. Right now I feel exhausted from jet lag. It’s still a long journey before I could reach the apar

Chapter 9: Nightmare
All that running kept me alert from being chased by Yu-san and the others. Yu-san can run. If it weren’t for the obstacles, he would definitely pin me down. I picked up a can of drink from the vending machine and after a few sips, I was fully refreshed. Now then, should I head back? Nah, Yu-san and the others wouldn’t give up that easily. It’s probably best to wait for a few minutes for them to cool down before hitting the hay. I walked around the empty corridor and watch as the lights slowly turned off. I stood outside of the Amagi-inn, feeling the cool breeze as I took some deep breaths.
