my scars- a poem
Amber is the soul, the color, the whole.
I am the Heart, the dark, the part.
You just don’t complete me anymore.
I have fallen and broken my heart.
I exist no longer as I once was.
Eventually scars build up, and the pain is too much.
You can’t ignore it anymore.
The reality was pushed away,
Shunned for another day.
Dismissed until it was too late.
You’ve made me laugh,
You’ve made me cry,
Then just left me here to die.
Now the cracks have taken their toll.
I’m no longer part of the whole.
I’ve lost my color.
Traded rainbows for shades of grey.
Black and white the highlight
When love is true,
when the truth is love,
it knows no bounds.
When hearts ache,
and souls shake,
love puts it back.
When tears stream,
into hopeless dreams,
love wakes you up.
When you cannot walk,
love carries you.
When you cannot cry,
love cries for you.
Love has no bounds,
has every form,
and can always be found.
In the darkest of nights,
in the deepest of dreams,
where nightmares sleep,
love is still there.
Love everyone.
Love yourself.
Spread the love.
