It was three a.m. in the morning and Sam Winchester was on death’s door. . .
Or at least, he looked like he was. Though for the woman who currently sat on the edge of the motel bed, where the man was resting, death almost seemed like a favorable alternative.
Halena, the woman who was actually a demon, watched as Sam’s whole body shook violently underneath the threadbare coverlets that laid sprawled atop him. His face, usually so strong and healthy, was now reduced to a ghastly pallor that would have made Death himself stop to consider the possibilities. And large dark circles ranged

It was nearing midnight and the moon rose high in the cloudy October sky- a cliché just waiting to implode, Halena Raske thought as she walked through the quiet streets of the sprawling Metropolis. A city of this respectable size was awake at all hours, but seeing as it was freezing outside, very few people were dumb enough to wander the lanes. Deep down, the woman who crept through the back alleys wished she could be in a warm hotel with a bottle of Jack Daniels and a thick blanket. But regrettably, fate had other plans for her tonight.
As the building she sought came into view,

Chapter 08: The Dreamscape
The darkness turned into a strange, slow freefall, warm summer winds rushing around him. Sombra attempted to balance himself and keep his hooves disentangled, but the motions did little other than give the impression of treading in deep water. Confused and mildly alarmed, he moved faster and yet continued his fall in the same manner, his efforts making no change. Looking below, a faint glow emanated beneath him just as a soft, rhythmic rushing sound filled his ears. He drifted further and further down towards the glow, until he slowed almost to a halt, a dark object floating to rest beneath him. With surre

Chapter 7: Nightfall
It seemed a small eternity until nightfall, with the afternoon stretching on in a lazy, endless way. Part of Sombra wondered if perhaps Princess Luna wasn’t trying to delay on the promise to talk to him. Eventually however, the sun did sink below the horizon and dusk unfolded in the sky over Equestria. He watched out of one of the windows, heaving a sigh as the sky began to darken to a plum color. Was he relieved or anxious now that the time had come? He couldn’t really say for certain; perhaps it was a combination of the two. The anticipation of speaking with her was almost as awful as the anticipatio

The Dam Breaks
While the castle guests were having their dinner, Dusky was sitting in the dumbwaiter in the kitchens, flipping a dinner knife around. She was so deep in thought that she remained focused on the sharp blade. As she flipped the blade over and over again she would catch it at the handle each time. Dusky caught the handle and sighed turning to look at the lingering kitchen staff as they cleaned up the kitchens from their service. She turned to see her grandmother’s cooking station, a lager table with lingering frosting and cake utensils from the times the bakers were making desserts. She turned away shaking he

Prologue
Cool night air wafted on a breeze through an open window, gently brushing against the feathers of Princess Cadence’s wings and prompting her to stir in her sleep. The day had been long and tiring in spite of how good it was, and the young alicorn had easily drifted off into a deep sleep when she had retired for the evening. When her aunt had first tasked Cadence and Shining Armor with running the Crystal Empire after their wedding, the young princess had had no delusions about the weight of the role they were being given. She knew it would be full, exhausting work nearly every day. Nonetheless she went to sleep exhausted
The alarm clock blared in annoying intervals design to make even the deepest of sleepers stir awake. An arm reached out from the mush of blankets on the bed and slammed it's self on the 'Off' button. Not two minutes later a woman's voice could be heard from somewhere else in the house. "Lionel! Time to get up sweetie!" she called up to her child. With a grunt as his only answer Lionel started to untangle himself from his comforter and sheets. Dragging himself out of the comfort of his bed and to the bathroom Lionel passed a mirror and stopped to look at himself. At least his dad passed down something good.
Lionel Choi was a very good

Chapter 6: Audience
The following day found Luna a bundle of nervous anxiety and mixed emotions once again. Thankfully she was able to maintain her outward poise, giving the impression of a collected calm she didn’t fully feel. But with so many ponies depending on her and Celestia, looking to them for reassurance, that false calm came to the Princess of the Night fairly easily.
Truthfully most of the ponies in Canterlot and throughout Equestria didn’t know quite the same level of panic at Sombra’s appearance that the Crystal Empire would, but word of Twilight Sparkle, Spike, and their friends’ journey to the Crys

The next morning, the sun rose to clear skies above Canterlot. The birds chirped greeting the sun, horses nibble their hay for breakfast, and the servants wake up to start their daily chores. Up in a castle room, watching the preparations for the joust was Sling Shot. He smirked watching the jousting field from his window, seeing servants and squires preparing the field for the final joust of the championship.
“So, how does it look?”
Sling Shot turn to see CJ in his bed waking up. He smiled turning back to the window.
“They’re preparing for your final match.” He repl

Ever since Han had died, after escorting Rey to Luke and them bringing them all back to Leia, and reaching a surprisingly peaceful point in the war while Luke trained Rey and Finn in the ways of the Force, Chewbacca had gone home. Back to Kashyyyk, to his family there. Yet since he had failed his life debt, he did not feel worthy enough to live with them fully, and took residence in a house on the outskirts of the village.
It was peaceful there. He was free to work on parts of machines in place of the Falcon, which was being used by Poe and Rey for Jedi adventures. Sure, he missed the adventures he went on with Han, but it was nice t

The next day, Elsa was waiting and watching out the window from her room for the coming of the person wrote to talk to about Anna. Elsa was hoping that she would help her.
Just then, she saw a ship coming from afar with a sun shape on its sail. Elsa got excited she hadn’t seen her since Anna and Kristoff’s wedding.

Later, the person she had been waiting for was finally at the docks. Elsa had on a big smile.
“Rapunzel! I’m so glad you came!” Elsa threw her arms around her cousin.
Rapunzel returned the hug. “It’s so great to see you. I came

Icy cold. A hum like an elevator. No, not quite. Emptier.
I stretch awake in a weird glass pod, flexing some soft bluish pants and shirt and knocking sweet yellow flowers onto the chill surface. Did I ever see them grow somewhere? Warm jets of fog hiss in the pod, which feels oddly good. My pelt fluffs dry.
“Asriel, I'm here. You've been dead for a long time.” a child's voice.
I almost choke up. Frisk’s voice. I met her didn't I? “Why did I die?”
“I have that for later. I have much more.”

It was an absolutely gorgeous spring night, and Claire Sato couldn’t remember when she’d been so content.
The young woman of sixteen, with short black hair and a reserved air, currently strolled about the cordoned off grounds of the elite Ouran Academy. Not too long ago, she had taken every opportunity to leave the school after her classes had concluded for the day. But that had all changed about three months prior, when she had been asked to become the designer for the infamous Host Club.
I was so jumpy the first week, Claire thought to herself, looking back. And in truth she had been.
