Revelations and Reflections
“Then I looked, and saw sitting on the cloud one like the Son of Man. He had a gold crown on his head and a sharp sickle in his hand.
“Another angel came out of the Temple, and with a loud voice, cried to the one on the cloud: ‘Swing your sickle and gather the harvest. For the time has come, and the crop of the earth is ripe.’
"And the one who sat on the cloud swung his sickle, and the whole world was harvested.”

“Secretary…”
The young man looked up. Of the ten there with them on the bridge of the Infinite Fortitude, it could be only he whom the Chairwoman addressed with t
Blacksmith's Forge
A craft of perfection
Foundation of blood and fire
Dying art of history
A peerless passion
Iron forged to steel
Burning furnace roars with vigor
Scorching yet fascinating
A masterpiece yet to be born
Sparks fly like fireflies
Flickering light in the night
As I strike the wrought iron
Morphing into shape
Forged in fire
A masterpiece is born
Unrivaled sword above all
Art of timeless beauty
A pink Volkswagen pulled into the one lane driveway and came to a halt, the brakes squealing a bit. The engine turned off and out stepped a pig. He snorted as he veered up at his new home that he just purchased. The movers had already dropped off his things as he was now here to set it all straight. He huffed looking as his home.
There's not much color to this place, is there? He thought to himself. You see, this pig has three things he absolutely loves: tacos, tea, and colors.
As he was staring, his neighbor spotted him.
"Greetings!" He shouted over the luscious, green hedges that lined the edges of the yard. "Oh hello!" the pig yelled ba
Tempered Sunshine
Like a field to gaze across the shadows range wide
Untouched and unowning of all surrounding space
Linger linger beneath the waves of normalcy
Twitch twitch like a spider through the darkened corners
Around the bend and through the bogs, all shadows stretch wide
Blinded and bound back by tempered sunshine; a wall unallowed to crack
Seemless
Peerless
Invulnerable by sight, the light is a magnificent bite
Crushing and all overcoming it disperses the shadows
Veiling the land in light
Stainless like steel and shadowless pits
With few visible at the dark land's edge
From within it shall burst then
How a chest opens
“Todd?”
The 19-year-old by that name glanced up, surprised to see a hologram of Nick standing before him. He knew there was no actual hologram – he was in a full-body containment rig, the kind used for lava- or deep-earth mining. Nick had merely projected himself against the hybrid-glass dome that protected Todd’s head, making it seem as though he was standing on the rocks before him. Todd smiled big.
“Nick? It’s, I’m honored!” he said. He didn’t straighten up, though; Todd glanced back down to the huge chunk of rock he was extricating and began slicing it again with the laser-drill on his
The sound of the screams was the worst - horrible shrieks that cut off into gurgles when the Old's plasma cut through the lungs of its victim and reduced their vocal chords to wax. William watched, 6-year-old eyes wide with horror, hidden under a table as an atrocity against nature, a metal-and-black-flesh creature, stomped past, making no noise except for the soft hiss of its plasma caster. The humans did the rest.
The smell made him want to vomit - he did, but only when he was sure that the Old were gone. William crawled out on his hands and knees, looking around the resort that used to house 2,000 souls - now but one. The recreational wor
