Ramonas Clues Ep 1: Snack Time
(After the intro, Katie opens the door to green the audience) Katie: Hi! Come on in! We're so glad you're here! (starts walking) It's almost snack time. Ramona? Ramona? [Ramona is seen hiding under the table] Katie: (looks around, then turns to the viewers) Did you see Ramona? Kids: Right there! Under the table! Katie: Oh. (gives the viewers the signal) [Ramona comes out from the under the table and sits in her seat] Katie: (laughs) Ramona! What are you up to? Come on! It's just about snack time and we're having graham crackers! I have everything ready for snack. (walks over to the table) We have graham crackers, we have plates, we have napkins, we have- Ramona: (shakes her head for no) Hehehe no we don't. Katie: No? Well, we don't have everything ready for snack? [Ramona shakes her head no again] Katie: Well, what else do you want for your snack, Ramona? [Ramona leaves a pink pawprint on the left side of the screen] Katie: Uh, Ramona why is there a pink pawprint? Ramona: It's a new game for you, to figure out what I want with my snack, you'll have to play Ramona's Clues! Katie: Oh! Okay! We'll play "Ramona's Clues"! That's a great idea! (singing) Katie: We are gonna play Ramona's Clues, 'cause that's a really great game! Yeah! Katie: You ready? Let's go! (about to leave, but quickly stops) Whoops! (chuckles) I forgot we should probably clean this up first. (wipes the pawprint away with a napkin) Ramona: Now, remember, my pawprints will be on the clues. Ramona's Clues. Here, (she gives Katie her own Handy Dandy Notebook) this is your Handy Dandy Notebook, you'll need it to draw the clues. (She winks at Katie) Katie: Ooh! You know, I can tell I'm really gonna need your help today figuring out what Ramona wants with her snack. Will you help me? You will? Great! [Start of song] Katie: (singing) We got to find a paw print, That's the first clue. We put it in our notebook, And now what do we do? Ramona's Clues, Ramona's Clues! Kids: Ramona's Clues! Katie: (singing) We got to find another paw print, That's the second clue. We put it in our notebook, Now what do we do? Ramona's Clues, Ramona's Clues! Kids: Ramona's Clues! Katie: (singing) We got to find another paw print, That's the third clue. We put it in our notebook, And well, you know what to do! Ramona's Clues, Ramona's Clues! Kids: Ramona's Clues! Katie: (singing) Well, we sit down in our Thinking Chair And think, think, think! 'Cause when we use our minds, And take a step at a time, We can do anything... Ramona: Yeah! Katie: That we want to do! (does jazz hands) [Song ends] Katie: Come on! (starts walking while singing) We are looking for Ramona's Clues, we are looking for Ramona's Clues, we are looking for Ramona's Clues. I wonder where they are. (walks into her bedroom and passes by a yellow cup on the table and the cup has a pawprint on it) Child: A clue! A clue! Katie: Oh! (eagerly) Oh, did you see a clue? Where? (looks around) Where's the clue? (continues looking around) I can't find the clue! Child: Right there! (giggles) Katie: Oh. (sees the cup with a pawprint on it) Oh! The clue! Aha! You know how you can tell it's a clue? It's got Ramona's pink pawprints on it! It's our first... Kids and Katie: (in unison) Ramona's clue! Katie: Now what do we do? Kids: Notebook! Katie: Yeah! We need our handy-dandy... (takes out her notebook) Notebook! (starts drawing the cup, as he scats a little) Okay, a big circle, lines for the sides, a line on the bottom and two lines and we have a cup. [An image of a cup pops up on the top left corner] Katie: Wha? (She giggles) You can't eat a cup for a snack. (chuckles, then pauses) Hey, do you think Ramona wants to put something in the cup? Yeah! So I think we have to look for more Ramona's Clues so we can figure out what she wants with her snack! Come on! (calling) Ramona! Ramona? [Ramona is seen hiding under the bed until Katie comes back and walks over to the viewers] Katie: Do you see Ramona? Where? Kids: Under the bed! Katie: (softly) Oh, under the bed. (shushes and starts walking) I don't see Ramona! [Ramona chuckles and winks at the viewers, Katie shushes the viewers again and looks under the bed until she and Ramona pop up several times] Katie: Aha! (laughs) Ramona: Ha ha! Got ya! [an certain elephant honks off-screen] Katie: Hey, what was that? [Ramona runs over to a painting of The Banana Splits and Snorky trumpets at her] Fleegle: Hey, hey, Ramona, there you are! I've been waiting for you! You didn't finish painting my friends. Ramona: Oh, don't worry! I can finish it! [Ramona skidoos into the painting] Katie: Whoa! (to the viewers) Can you help Ramona finish painting the picture of The Banana Splits? Great! Then we can look for more Blue's Clues. Fleegle: Okay, let's paint the gorilla orange. Katie: Hmm, can you show Ramona the color orange? [Ramona hops over to the red paint] Ramona: Is this orange? Child: Uh-uh! [Ramona hops over to the purple paint] Ramona: Is this orange? Kids: No! [Ramona hops over to the orange paint] Ramona: Is this orange? Child: Yeah, there it is! Orange! [Ramona paints Bingo the Gorilla orange and Bingo eats a peanut] Bingo: Thanks a bunch! Katie: (gives the viewers a thumbs up) Good work! Fleegle: (to Bingo) Hiya Bingo! That was awesome! (to Ramona) Ramona, can we paint Drooper the Lion peach now? Katie: Can you show Ramona the color peach? [Ramona hops over to the red paint again] Ramona: Is this peach? Child: No! [Ramona hops over to the purple paint again] Ramona: Is this peach? Kids: No! [Ramona hops over to the green paint] Ramona: Is this peach? Child: No! [Ramona hops over to the peach paint] Ramona: Is this peach? Child: That's the peach! [Ramona paints Drooper the Lion peach and Drooper eats a peanut] Drooper: Why, thank you! Fleegle: (to Drooper) How ya doing, Droop? That was great! (to Ramona) Okay, can you paint Snorky the Elephant grey? Katie: Can you show Ramona the color grey? Ramona: Is this grey? Kids: No! [Ramona hops over to the grey paint] Ramona: Is this grey? Kids: Grey, right there! [Ramona paints Snorky The Elephant grey and Snorky eats a peanut] Snorky: (honks for a thank you) Katie: (in a French accent) What a painter, that Ramona (claps, normal voice) and all of you too! [Ramona skidoos out of the painting as The Splits cheer altogether] Katie: (to the viewers) Blue? (runs into the living room, calling) Ramona, where are-? [The telephone rings, making Katie fall down, then she gets back up] Katie: It's the phone. (picks up the phone) Hello? Mr. Webb and Mrs. Webb: (on the phone, in unison) Hello, hello! Mr. Webb: (on the phone) This is Mr. Webb! Mrs. Webb (on the phone) And Mrs. Webb! Katie: (to the viewers) It's my good spider friends, Mr. Webb and Mrs. Webb. (speaking into the phone) Hello, Mr. and Mrs. Webb! How are you? Mr. Webb and Mrs. Webb: (on the phone, in unison) Fine. Mrs. Webb: (on the phone) But Ramona is in the kitchen! Mr. Webb: (on the phone) And she's making a really big mess! Katie: (speaking into the phone) Uh-oh! Alright, stay put, we'll be right there. (hangs up the phone, turns to the viewers) You will come and help me with this, won't you? You will? Cool! Alright, we better get to the kitchen and fast! (starts walking into the kitchen) Wait 'til you meet my friends, Mr. Webb and Mrs. Webb! You're gonna love them! (starts singing) We are going to the kitchen to meet my spider friends, yeah! (quietly scats until she sees Mr. Webb and Mrs. Webb on the counter with food) Hi, Mr. and Mrs. Webb! Mr. Webb: Hello, Katie! Mrs. Webb: Hello, Katie! Katie: (notices the food on the counter) Oh, ooh, hey. (to Ramona) Ramona, what did you do? Ramona: (embarrassingly chuckles and blushes) Mr. Webb: Uh, Ramona knocked over the grocery bag. Mrs. Webb: That's what she did. [Ramona whispers through Katie's ear as Katie listens] Katie: Yeah, that's a good idea, Ramona. Let's clean this up first and then we can look for more "Ramona's Clues". I think we're gonna need your help putting all of this food away. Mr. Webb: Okay. Mrs. Webb: Okay, let's start with the great big circle. Mr. and Mrs. Webb: (in unison) Like this! (they shape their mouths into a circle) Katie: Okay, circle. Hmm, I don't see a circle. Could you show me the circle? Kids: It's the orange! [Ramona grabs the orange and puts it in the refrigerator on the top shelf] Mr. Webb: Great! Mrs. Webb: Great! Now let's put away the square. Mr. and Mrs. Webb: (in unison) Like this! (they shape their mouths into a square) Katie: Okay, square. Hmm, I don't see a square. Could you show me the square? Kids: It's right there! The cheese! [Ramona grabs the cheese and puts it in the refrigerator next to the orange] Mr. Webb: Wonderful! Mrs. Webb: Wonderful! Mr. Webb: Now let's put away the rectangle! Mr. and Mrs. Webb: (in unison) Like this! (they shape their mouths into a rectangle) Katie: 'Kay, rectangle. Hmm, I don't see a rectangle. Could you show me the rectangle too? Child: There it is! That's the graham cracker! (giggles) [Ramona grabs the graham cracker and puts it in the refrigerator on the bottom shelf] Mr. Webb: Great! Mrs. Webb: Great! Mr. Webb: Now let's put away the triangle! Mr. and Mrs. Webb: (in unison) Like this! (they shape their mouths into a triangle) Katie: Uh, triangle. Hmm, I don't see a triangle. Could you show me the triangle? Child: See? The bunch of grapes! Right there! [Ramona grabs the grapes and puts it in the refrigerator on the bottom shelf next to the graham cracker] Katie: Hey, thanks for helping! And thank you, too, Ramona! (She turns around and then back to the viewers, amazed) Whoa! Look in the fridge! [The snacks are seen moving around on the screen and then form into a house with the orange as the sun, Ramona appears from the house and jumps out past Katie, Mr. Webb and Mrs. Webb as she crashes into something off-screen, Katie rushes over to a cup knocked down with straws] Katie: Oh no! These straws are all over the place! Maybe we should put 'em away. (She picks up the cup and places it back in its standing position and hums as she fixes the straws and puts them back in the cup) There! Now all the straws are put away! [At the same time, a straw with pawprints on appear and moves around] Katie: Wha? Do you see another straw? Child: A clue! A clue! Katie: Where? (She looks over to the left side as the straw jumps over to the right side, she tries looking on the right side, but the straw jumps over to the left side) I don't see it. (She continues looking for the straw as she gently pushes the straws in the cup aside and sees it) Aha! (She lifts up the cup and laughs) Well, now, that's about the silliest straw I ever saw. (in realization) Oh. Oh! Oh oh OH!! That straw has Ramona's pawprints on it! It must be one of... Kids and Katie: (in unison) Ramona's clues! Katie: You know what to do! We need our handy-dandy... Child and Katie: (in unison) Notebook! Katie: (takes out her notebook and starts drawing a straw) Let's see. There's the top, couple of lines, and a little bendy part, two long lines and a stripe down the middle. Hmm, so what does Ramona want with her snack? Ramona's first clue was a, a... Child: A cup! Katie: Right! A cup! [An image of a cup pops up on the top left corner] Katie: And now Ramona's second clue is a straw. [An image of a straw pops up on the top right corner] Katie: Hmm, Ramona wants something to... Something to... Kids: To drink! Katie: Drink! Right!! With a cup and a straw!! Well, well, what do you think it could be? You think we should look for our last Ramona's clue so we can figure out what Ramona's wants with her snack! So do I! Come on! (runs into the living room, calling) Ramona! Ramona! Ramona? Chorus: (singing) Mail time, mail time, mail time, mail time, mail time! Katie: The mail's here! Katie: (singing) Here's the mail, it never fails. It makes me want to wag my tail. When it comes, I want to wail, "MAIL!!!!" [Poli the Polar Bear comes in and Katie sits in her pink Thinking Chair] Poli: Okay, mail's here, mail's here! And I'm here to give it to you! Mail! (He gives Katie's letter to her) Katie: (takes the letter) Thank you, Poli! Poli: You're welcome! (leaves) Katie: We just got a letter! We just got a letter! We just got a letter! We just got a letter! Wonder who it's from. (opens the letter) Kids: Hi, Katie! We're having snack! Katie: Oh, it's a letter from our friends! Girl: You know what our very favorite snack is? Kids: (in unison) Peanut butter and apples! [Girl is seen trying to get the plastic knife out of the peanut butter when she giggles] Boy 1: I'm putting peanut butter on the apples. Boy 2: (eats an apple slice) It tastes like, mmm, apple juice. [The kids laugh as they eat their apple slices with peanut butter] Girl: I like this snack 'cause I can do it myself. (eats her apple slice with peanut butter) [The two boys and girl drink their milk] Kids: (in unison) Bye!!! Katie: Bye. (closes the letter) I love snacks, don't you? [At the same time, Ramona appears from behind the Thinking Chair and skidoos into the picture frame of a farm] Katie: (amazed) Whoa!! Did you see that? Ramona just went right into that picture of that farm! That's so cool! (looks at the picture frame and then back to the viewers) Hey, I think Ramona wants us to follow her. There goes Ramona! (singing) Ramona Skidoo, we can too! [Katie skidoos to the farm and the cow mooing sound effect is heard once] Katie: Whoa! What a great farm! Let's go look around! (starts walking while singing) We are farming for Ramona's Clues, we are farming for Ramona's Clues, we are farming for Ramona's Clues, E-I-E-I-O! With a chick-chick here and a chick there, chick-chick here and a chick there, here a chick, there a chick, everywhere a chick-chick! (notices a bunch of chicks, speaking) Everywhere a chick-chick! [The chicks chirp loudly and Katie notices a chick wearing a red bow] Katie: (to the viewers) Oh, I think this little chick is trying to tell us something. (She walks over to the chick with the red bow as she jumps into Katie's hand) Hello, little chick. Red Bow Chick: Hey, Katie, can you help me find my friend? Katie: Okay, what does your friend look like? Red Bow Chick: My friend has a red bow like mine. See? Katie: (to the viewers) Are you ready to help this little chick? Then we can look for more "Ramona's Clues". Red Bow Chick: (jumps over to a bunch of chicks, to the viewers) My friend has a bow on just like mine. Do you see my friend? (hops over to a chick with a green bow) Child: Uh-uh! [The red bow hat chick hops over to a chick with a blue bow] Child: No! [The red bow chick hops over to a chick with a orange bow] Child: Uh-uh! [The red bow chick hops over to a chick wearing the same red bow] Kids: Yes! [The chicks chirp as they jump into Katie's hand] Katie: See? You found your friend. Chicks: Yes! See how we match? (they hop away, calling) Thank you for helping us! Katie: Great work. Now we can go look for more "Ramona's Clues". [A chick with a green bow, this time wearing it around its neck hops into Steve's hand] Green Neck Bow Chick: Hi, can you help me too? Can you help me my friend? Katie: Okay. What does your friend look like? Green Neck Bow Chick: My friend has a bow like mine. Katie: Are you ready to help again? Green Neck Bow Chick: I sure hope you can help me. (jumps over to a bunch of chicks) I sure hope you can help me. Do you see my friend? (hops over to a chick with a rainbow neck bow) Child: No.  [The green neck bow chick hops over to a chick with a purple neck bow] Kids: No! [The green neck bow chick hops over to a chick with a pink neck bow] Child: Uh-uh! [The green neck bow chick hops over to a chick wearing green neck bow] Kids: Yes! [The chicks jump into Katie's hand] Katie: See? We found your friend too. Chicks: See how we match? Thank you for helping us. Katie: Oh, you're welcome. [The two chicks hop away and Katoe waves good-bye to them] Katie: Great job. Now we can go look for more "Ramona's Clues". [A chick wearing a white flower on its head hops into Katie's hand] Katie: You too, huh? White Flower Chick: Uh-huh. Can you help, please? Katie: Okay. What does your friend look like? White Flower Chick: My friend has a flower just like mine. Katie: Has a friend with a flower on just like yours. Right, right. We kinda thought so. (to the viewers) You ready to help again? [The white flower chick hops over to a bunch of chicks wearing different flower accessories] White Flower Chick: Do you see her? Do you see my friend? (hops over to a chick wearing a petunia accessory) Child: Uh-Uh! [The white flower chick hops over to a rose accessorized chick] Kids: No! [The white flower chick hops over to another white flower chick] Child: Uh-uh! [The white flower chick hops over to a chick wearing the white flower accessory] Kids: Yes! [The chicks hop into Katie's hand] Katie: See? You found your friend too. Chicks: Thank you for helping us. Katie: Oh, you're very welcome. But now can you help me find my friend? Chicks: Certainly! What does your friend look like? Katie: Well, Ramona's sort of a who's white and black and- Chicks: You mean that silly cat on your head? [Katie looks up and sees Ramona sitting on his head, smirking] Katie: Ramona? What are you up to? Ramona: Ha ha! [Ramona jumps off of Katie's head] Katie: Let's go find Ramona! Come on. (starts walking as he passes by the farm animals, calling) Ramona? Ramona? Ramona! (to the viewers) What? Child: A clue! Katie: Oh! Did you see a clue? Where? Where?! Where's the clue?! Child: Behind you! Katie: (turns around and sees two large pawprints on the cow eating hay, excitedly) OH!! OH!! That cow has Ramona's pawprints all over it! What it must mean that cow is another one of... Kids and Katie: (in unison) Ramona's Clues! Katie: (runs up to the cow) Hey, do you think Ramona wants to drink a cow with her snack? Child: No. Katie: Nope. [The cow moos "nope"] Katie: Okay, well, this calls for our, handy-dandy... (takes out her notebook) Kids and Katie: (in unison) Notebook!  Katie: (whistles as she opens his notebook and starts drawing a cow) Okay, we got the cow's head, a big circle for the body, lines for her legs and tail, the hooves, and then udder, and there's a cow. (closes her notebook) Great! Hey, now that we have all three clues, that means we're ready to go back home to our Thinking Chair and figure out what Ramona wants with her snack! Great! Let's go! [Ramona skidoos into the living room, then Katie scats as she skidoos along and sits down in her pink Thinking Chair] Katie: Now that we're in our Thinking Chair, let's think. (takes out her notebook) So, we need to figure out what Ramona wants with her snack. Ramona's Clues are a cup. [An image of a cup pops up in the top left corner] Katie: A straw... [An image of a straw pops up in the top center above Katie's head] Katie: And a cow. [An image of a cow pops up in the top right corner] Katie: Hmm, what do you think Ramona wants with her snack? Hmm. Oh, oh. Oh, do you think Ramona wants to put the cow in a cup and slurp it up with a straw? [The cow moos loudly] Child: No. [Ramona shakes her head no while covering her eyes but laughs playfully] Katie: (sadly) No. Can't really fit a cow in a cup. Hmm. Well, cows make the sound. Cow, Katie and Kids: Mooo! Katie: Right? Cows make (in a low voice) moo sounds. (normal voice) Cows make mmm... Kids and Katie: (in unison) Milk!! Ramona: (nodding) Yes! yes! Katie: (enthusiastically) YES!! Yes, that's it!! Cows make the milk we drink!!! Ramona: Yeah! Katie: Yeah, that's the answer to "Ramona's Clues"!!! Ramona wants milk poured in a cup and she wants to drink it with a straw!!! We just figured out "Ramona's Clues"!!!! (singing) We just figured out Ramona's Clues, We just figured out Ramona's Clues, We just figured out Ramona's Clues, Because we're really smart!!!!! Katie: Hey, Ramona, I'm gonna pour some milk in a cup, with a straw right now and you can drink it with your snack!!!! (runs off) [Ramona winks and smiles at the viewers and runs over to the table, Katie arrives carrying a tray with two glasses of milk] Katie: We're all set for our snack, Ramona. [Ramona smiles as she jumps up and down] Katie: Got our cups of milk with straws right here. Ramona: Awww thanks Katie, my buddy ol' pal! [Ramona jumps up and rubs noses with Katie as she giggles] [Ramona then drinks her milk, licks and smacks her lips, The Banana Splits arrive] Katie: Hey! (runs over to the viewers) Look who's here? It's The Banana Splits.  Right! Remember how we helped paint them? [Mr. Webb and Mrs. Webb arrive with the shaped foods] Katie: Oh, look, it's Mr. and Mrs. Webb. Right, they brought the food we helped to put away. [Ramona giggles as the chicks appear] Katie: Oh, look, it's the chicks. Remember all those bows and flowers? What a day!!! [Ramona cheers as Katie walks back into the living room] Katie: Hey, thank you so much for all your help today. (gives the viewers a thumbs up) (singing) Now it's time for so long! But we'll sing just one more song. Thanks for doing your part, You sure are smart, You know, with me and you and my cat, Ramona. Katie and Kids: (singing, in unison) We can do anything that we wanna do! Katie: Bye-bye! See you later! Bye! Come again! Bye-Bye! Kids: That we wanna do! [The camera pans away from the house as the door closes, Ramona appears from the window, she waves goodbye and says one more line] Ramona: Buh-bye! Kids: We can do anything! The End
