“I rearrange a sentence many times before moving on to the next one. For me, that editing process feels like a form of play, like a puzzle that needs solving, and it's one of the most satisfying parts of writing.”
-Karen Thompson Walker
Once you have placed emphasis in studying, designing, and formatting your plot-points, chapters, paragraphs, the next unit on your list is the sentence. The composition and arrang

“I will try to cram these paragraphs full of facts and give them a weight and shape no greater than that of a cloud of blue butterflies.”
-Brendan Gill
Once you have completed a first draft that is broken down by carefully constructed plot-points and chapter breaks, the next element you need to look at is the paragraph. Think of paragraphs as the glue by which you hold the sentences, which form your story, into cohesive and unified ideas. The difficulty, however, is that

Reasons I Will Not Give Your Story a Chance - 6
Now we finally get to the first chapter. Now, when I say "first chapter," I do mean the first chapter, but I also sometimes—not always—tend to look at a future chapter to see if these kinds of things persists. If they do, I back out immediately without another thought.
The first chapter has character sheets.
I don't care if you have character sheets or bios or profiles or just whatever, as long as you don't put them in the first chapter, or in the middle of your story. It tells me that you let the character sheets do the introducing, developing and describing for you. Not good. Either put them in a

7 Guidelines to Carefully Craft Every Paragraph in your Story – With Reference Links
One of the most unexpectedly difficult tasks in writing is learning how to craft paragraphs. It's simply not a skill that we learn in most schools, and mostly relies on our reading and slowly learning the skill from those authors who have mastered it. However, from what limited resources exist on the internet, we can build a checklist to make sure that all of our paragraphs have a solid foundation, as we
I am fighting a mystery,
An inexperienced child waiting for an expression.
I still remember those words that came out of your mouth.
They stung, they ripped apart and they shattered.
But I am fighting this life, wrapped by branches made of lies.
And there are words choking my wrists,
Blood is flowing out of my pencil,
And pain can be seen in between my sentences.
Do you know what you are saying?
What is the meaning behind your perspective?
I am fighting a mystery, consumed by a power,
You are wrestling with your words,
I am gambling with my ambitions.
Sentences in black and white,
Paragraphs stained grey,
And stories sparkling red.

once i put my hands to the keys i could no longer control the movements, spastic, convulsive motions which my hands made. letters forming words, words forming sentences, sentences forming paragraphs and so on and so on flew forth from my fingertips which clicked the keys more rapidly than ever before, i could not control the urges i had, the words which flowed from my ears, my lips, my nose, my eyes and suddenly these words had spread everywhere and where continuing to be written with no thought or control my fingers moved and i let them, i let the move freely, for these words had potential to be beautiful or terrible and could be thought of

Dewalt vs Milwaukee- A non-biased comparison
Dewalt vs 'Milwaukee'
Coloration- Humans tend to associate the color red with hunger. This is why hungrier, fatter humans lean toward using Milwaukee tools. The vibration patterns felt upon using such a tool is a perfectly replicated digestion pattern upon digesting overly fatty foods. This furthers the user's weight gain, as their digestive system is not met with eating actual food upon using the tool. They must immedietly digest food to fulfill this sickening craving. Dewalt on the other hand, has a color likened to pure gold. The only reason it isn't actually gold is the value would become even more priceless, and it would be stolen even

Preserving Spacing from WORD
This took me an hour and a half and many dead ends to figure out, so please post a comment if it helps you out. I compose in WORD, leaving a 12pt. space between paragraphs via the Format pull-down menu/Paragraph. But when I cut and paste the document into DA, I get one huge paragraph, no line breaks. Solution: Go to the Replace function and type [^p] the paragraph mark in the Find field. In my version of WORD this was also available via an embedded pull-down menu. Then go to the Replace field and type in two paragraph marks [^p ^p], or if you have the embedded pull-down menu, just select it twice. Verify that your find/replace fields are correct. Then click on the Replace All button. You may need to save the document before cutting and pasting; if so, you might want to give it a new name. Your document will now have extra spaces and when you cut and paste into DA, you will have a space between paragraphs. Ta da!

It's all about you this time! Let's begin the study of the self. Let's get involved in your individuality and this time we can use ourselves as a model for art. Inspire yourself with yourself.. I think?
- Create a book cover, album cover, or logo that has a memory of yours in it, either fond or unwanted memories can be used. You can use either a memory or an event as well. But the only catch is, these memories or events must be elaborate enough that you can consider them to be able to be made into a series of books, songs, or shows around the one idea. What do you remember in your life that could have had such a gap of alternative endin

Demon and Hiro meet (oc story)
Death, it pretty much follows everyone even demons like me and those who cant even die. A red haired kid got hit by a car and he is now trying to find a last ditch effort to try and live. everyone can hold onto hope and light but what really matters is the soul,it has more power than the strongest man or human. Demons- like myself-crave souls of humans not because we have a hunger pain so fierce it may kill us but because souls are strong. to get souls demons would need to trick or make a contract with a human to hand it over but you can always take it by force killing the human and risk losing some flavor to it.

Tip 3: Consider the effects of sentence lengths.
Similar to how the lengths of chapters and paragraphs will change the way that your audience reads your story, sentence lengths will have a similar effect. The difference is that, unless you plan on writing constant run-on sentences (please don't) or are planning on writing literature for small children (elementary-school age) you don't need to worry about your sentences tiring people

Let's get hella complicated for some time now. No more mister easy-draw-guy (I guess). Flowers and portraits and stuff galore is just too usual, common, and too easy at times. Lets try to think on the levels of testing your patience!
- Draw a wrinkled shirt, graphics or no graphics. You can pin it up or put it up on clothing pins and photograph it if you feel like it or make it worse by trying to draw it while it's up there and subject to changing either by gravity straightening it or wind blowing it.
- Crumble up a piece of paper either with the intention of making it an odd shape or just on its own. Newspaper will throw your mind for

Newly Worshipped [tf, kitsune, goddess]
You found your way into the dark foresting woods, waking by bamboo and ferns to come across a bizarre sight. A coven of witch-like entities seemed to hide under white hoodies, but once you draw closer and see them unrobe, you see that they are clearly not human. Their blue and silvery muzzles are all to revealing of their bestial nature, as their sharp ears and swishing tail would attest to. You can sense a strange aura around them, and it scares you because it's so similar to your own! You have to focus your energy, prepare countermeasures, act fast! Oh too late, one of them saw you. You attempt to run the opposite direction, only for one th
